  • Publication number: 20220243383
Abstract: A dispensing assembly for a laundry appliance includes a cabinet defining a cartridge port. A dispensing device is coupled to the cabinet and extends into the cartridge port. A dispensing cartridge is selectively received by the cartridge port. The dispensing cartridge selectively engages the dispensing device when in an installed position within the cartridge port. The dispensing cartridge includes a nesting portion configured to house a first laundry chemistry. An insert portion is configured to house a second laundry chemistry. The nesting portion selectively receives the insert portion.

  • Publication number: 20210405598
Abstract: An appliance includes a temperature control system, a light source, and a spectrometer. The spectrometer works in conjunction with the light source to obtain a measured value of a foodstuff. The measured value is at least one of an absorbance value, a transmittance value, and a reflectance value. The measured value from the foodstuff is compared to a reference value for the foodstuff.

  • Patent number: 10907835
Abstract: A burner assembly for a cooktop includes a housing defining a first group of radially-spaced fuel outlets extending from an interior to an exterior of the housing, a first aperture extending through the housing and spaced outward of the first group of outlets, and a second group of radially-spaced fuel outlets extending from the interior to the exterior and spaced outward of the first aperture. A first switch assembly is mounted within the housing and includes a first pin extending upwardly through the first aperture to an end positioned above the housing. The end of the first pin is moveable in a first direction inward and outward with respect to the housing to control a direction of a first portion of a flow of fuel to the second group of outlets. A second portion of the flow of fuel is continuously directed to the first group of outlets.

  • Patent number: 10228144
Abstract: A burner assembly for a cooktop includes a housing that defines first and second concentric outlet sections, the first outlet section being inset relative to the second outlet section. The housing further defines a first aperture between the first outlet section and the second outlet section. A first switch assembly is mounted within the housing and includes a lever coupled with the housing and a first pin extending from the lever and upwardly through the aperture to an end positioned above the housing. The end of the pin is moveable in a first direction inward and outward with respect to the housing by rotation of the lever to control a flow of energy to the second outlet section.

  • Patent number: 7445703
Abstract: A water conductivity monitoring circuit determines the status of an ion exchange filter in the water flow to a steam generator. A microprocessor sends a reference signal to a conductivity sensor circuit that converts it to an excite signal that is sent to a probe in the water flow. Any conductivity of the water alters the excite signal, and the modified signal is compared to the reference signal to establish a value indicative of the conductivity of the water. The microprocessor compares the value to at least two thresholds representative of the status of the filter.
