    Abstract: Telescopic needles permit the perforation of implantable vascular accesses sealed by means of a flexible elastomeric membrane using needles of large diameter. The telescopic needles in order of increasing diameter, permit progressive perforation with widening of the orifice formed in the septum, with only the nozzle of greatest diameter remaining through the septum at the end of the operation.The invention extends the area of application of implantable vascular access devices.
