The visual indicator mechanism is configured to output at least one visual indication when the earbud device is in use. The visual indication output by the visual indicator mechanism can be a first visual indication output from the visual indicator mechanism corresponding to a first preset earbud use type and/or a second, different visual indication output from the visual indicator mechanism corresponding to a second, different preset earbud use type.
