  • Patent number: 11434600
Abstract: A laundry treating appliance door assembly comprises a plastic fishbowl. Typically, laundry treating appliances, such as dryers, have door assemblies comprising glass fishbowls. Utilizing plastic enables a fishbowl to have a sharper radius of curvature than that of a glass fishbowl due to manufacturing constraints of glass. A shaper radius of curvature allows for greater capacity in the treating chamber in a laundry treating appliance.

  • Publication number: 20070205160
Abstract: A water conductivity monitoring circuit determines the status of an ion exchange filter in the water flow to a steam generator. A microprocessor sends a reference signal to a conductivity sensor circuit that converts it to an excite signal that is sent to a probe in the water flow. Any conductivity of the water alters the excite signal, and the modified signal is compared to the reference signal to establish a value indicative of the conductivity of the water. The microprocessor compares the value to at least two thresholds representative of the status of the filter.

  • Publication number: 20070062927
Abstract: A household oven comprises a housing defining a cooking cavity, a water supply, and a steam generator having an evaporation element fluidly coupled to the water supply and configured to generate steam for introduction into the cavity in response to water being supplied to the evaporation element. A fluid control element fluidly couples the water supply to the steam generator and is operable to supply a metered amount of water to the evaporation element.

  • Publication number: 20060251784
Abstract: A method of cooking meat using steam in an automated household oven comprises a browning step where the cooking cavity is heated at a first temperature sufficient to brown the meat and a cooking step where the cooking cavity is heated at a second temperature sufficient to cook the meat. Steam is introduced into the cavity during the cooking step to facilitate cooking the meat.
