  • Patent number: 12123673
Abstract: A hybrid charging handle for a firearm. The hybrid charging handle includes a plastic shell attached to a metal skeleton. The metal skeleton is stamped and folded to provide strength and rigidity. The plastic shell is molded to provide the geometry fitting the firearm. The plastic shell is attached to the metal skeleton to form the hybrid charging handle. The plastic shell provides benefits such a low friction. The hybrid charging handle can be manufactured cheaper and faster than conventional charging handles and with less material waste.

  • Patent number: 9971632
Abstract: A system, method and program product for implementing a garbage collection (GC) process that manages dynamically allocated memory in a multithreaded runtime environment. A method is disclosed that includes defining a threshold value, wherein the threshold value defines a number of GC cycles an object must be observed as unreferenced before being reclaimed; traversing objects in an object graph; and reclaiming a traversed object from the dynamically allocated memory if the traversed object has been observed as unreferenced for more than the threshold value.

  • Patent number: 9569191
Abstract: A system, method and program product for implementing a dynamic programming platform. An embodiment is disclosed having: a system for generating code for a multithreaded runtime environment, wherein the system includes an infrastructure for sharing bulk data between different threads without data-level synchronization; and a bulk data processing system having a set of bulk data operators that can operate on slices of the bulk data during runtime while different threads process the bulk data.

  • Publication number: 20140379298
Abstract: A system and methods for capturing the time and temperature at which a thermostat(s) in a home turns on and turns off, and then analyzing those times and temperatures at particular granularities to identify improvements in energy usage. These time and temperature data points are some of the information needed to determine two performance attributes in the home: the ramping time when the HVAC system is returning the home to the comfort setting (which is called herein the system on time), and the ramping time for the home to hit the next on cycle.

  • Patent number: 3959602
Abstract: A substation circuit in accordance with the present invention includes a light emitting diode (LED) connected in parallel with the speech network of the associated telephone set, the speech network including a carbon transmitter, a receiver, and a hybrid coil. The LED is connected in series with a high ac impedance to prevent voice signals from being attenuated by the shunt path, and the LED is shunted by a varistor to provide high current and surge protection. The relative resistances of the illumination circuit and the speech network are such that at least one-fifth of the line current derived when the telephone set is connected to the longest telephone line loop is shunted through the LED path. The speech network components are selected so as to substantially compensate for the reduction in transmit level resulting from the reduced current flow through the transmitter.
