    Abstract: A number of variations may include a luggage carrier system that may include a plurality of docking pads and at least one cross-rail wherein each individual docking pad may include a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface and a protuberant that may extend from the second surface and may define a threaded hole constructed and arranged to receive a cross-rail bolt. The at least one cross-rail may include a rail having a first end and a second end, a first stanchion affixed to the first end, a second stanchion affixed to the second end, and may be constructed and arranged to be removably attached to the plurality of docking pads via the cross-rail bolt.

    Abstract: A lighting system for an exterior panel of a vehicle includes a molding configured to be affixed to the exterior panel. The molding includes a feature configured to retain a light string and fix the light string relative to the molding. The light string is configured to be connected to an electric system of the vehicle and be activated to illuminate an area surrounding the exterior panel is illuminated. A vehicle employing the lighting system is also disclosed.

The roof rack assembly includes a first stanchion for structural attachment to the roof, a second stanchion for structural attachment to the roof, and a bar coupled between, and held above the roof by, the first stanchion and the second stanchion. The bar has a securing feature integrally formed therein, which holds an electric powered light-emitting component. Accordingly, the roof rack assembly employs a roof rack bar having a light-emitting element integrated therein.
