  • Patent number: 5051063
Abstract: The leakage-type pressure regulator for a hydraulic circuit, including at least one reservoir of fluid under low pressure (5), a pump (11) and an accumulator of fluid under high pressure (9), comprises: a pusher (19) projecting from a chamber (3) connected to the reservoir (5); at least one sensor (27) detecting the position of a magnetic core (23) sliding under the effect of the pusher (19) in the vicinity of the sensor (27), so as to control the functioning of the pump (11); a piston (17) sliding non-sealingly in a bore (7) communicating with a chamber (3) on the one hand and with an outlet of the accumulator (9) on the other hand, so as to establish a leakage of the hydraulic fluid between the accumulator (9) and the reservoir (5), the piston (17) having one end bearing on the pusher (19); and an elastic means (21) opposing the effect of the pressure of the fluid in the accumulator (9) on the piston (17), in such a way that the position of the core (23) is a function of the pressure of the fluid in the acc

  • Patent number: 5036666
Abstract: The bleed valve (22) especially for a hydraulic brake circuit, comprises a fluid reservoir (20), a hydraulic motor (26) and a mechanism for putting the fluid under pressure (24), and has a first port (42) connected to the motor (26) and to the mechanism (24) by way of a first conduit (62) and a second port (54) connected by way of a second conduit (60) to the reservoir (20) which is likewise connected to the inlet of the mechanism (24) by way of a third conduit (64), the first and second conduits (60,62) communicating with one another by way of the valve (22) during the initial bleeding phase of the hydraulic circuit, and no longer communicating from the moment when the fluid is first put under pressure. The valve (22) comprises a piston (36) capable of sliding in a bore (32,34) and keeping the shutter (44,42) of the valve open during the bleeding phase counter to a compressed spring (46 ).

  • Patent number: 4858438
Abstract: The hydraulic booster device controls a ball valve (25) to establish a communication between a source of fluid at high pressure (35) and a braking circuit (29) during a normal braking. In the event of failure of the high pressure source (35), the braking is ensured by pressurizing of the fluid contained in a chamber (33) by a piston mechanism (20), and transfer of this fluid into the circuit (29). An additional useful volume of brake fluid is supplied to the circuit (29) by fluid expelled from the chamber (11) by the penetration of the plunger (5) into this chamber, after the piston mechanism (20) has come to a stop against the end fitting (3). Application to a hydraulic braking circuit for automobile vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4858737
Abstract: The device comprises a tandem master cylinder, a booster high pressure fluid distributor, 2, a valve mechanism 4 to interconnect the master cylinder and the distributor selectively to a braking circuit. The high pressure circuit is connected to the pipeline 46 which controls the plungers 52, 56 acting on the ball valves 50, 51 respectively. In the event of failure of the high pressure circuit, the valves 50, 51 connect the pipeline 26 directly supplied by the master cylinder and the pipeline 5 which supplies a brake motor 8 for a wheel. The device may be utilized in an anti-skid circuit.

  • Patent number: 4751820
Abstract: The subject of the invention is a control device (10) for a twin master cylinder of the type with two master cylinders positioned parallell to one another and side by side, the device (10) being capable of being positioned between an actuating pedal and the pistons of the masters cylinder, the device (10) incorporating a control rod (44) which is capable of being connected to the pedal and two pushrods (28, 28') which are each capable of acting upon one of the pistons, the pushrods (28, 28') being guided so as to slide parallel to the axes of the master cylinders. According to the invention, the control rod (44) cooperates with the push rods (28, 28') through levers (52, 54) each of which is hinged at one end (56, 58) to one of the rods (28, 28') and is pushed so as to bear at the other end (64, 66) upon a bearing surface (62, 60) of the other rod (28', 28) by means of a peg (80) which is firmly fixed to the control rod (44). Application to the braking systems of motor vehicles.

  • Patent number: 4615098
Abstract: Process for forming an hydraulic connection on a hollow body 10, for example a master cylinder, by fitting an interconnecting piece 24 onto a tubular protuberance 16 projecting outwards from the wall of the body 10. The protuberance has at least one thin-walled part which, when the interconnecting piece 24 has been fitted over the protuberance 16, is flanged outwards against an internal bearing surface 38 of the interconnecting piece 24.
