    Abstract: Monitoring an instance of a workflow based on tracking profiles associated therewith. The workflow generates events which are captured by an event filter according to the tracking profiles. Users create the tracking profiles to specify event types of interest to the users. The event filter receives the events from the workflow and filters the received events based on the event types specified in the tracking profiles. The tracking infrastructure allows users to customize the type and quantity of status information to be tracked from the workflow.
