  • Patent number: 8567275
Abstract: A synchronizing device of a transmission is provided with a cylindrical synchronizer body having an external toothing. A shifting sleeve includes, but is not limited to an internal toothing. The internal toothing axially displaceably meshes with the external tooting of the synchronizer body. A synchronizing ring includes, but is not limited to a locking gear rim. In clearances distributed on the circumference of the synchronizer body, pre-synchronizing elements are arranged. The pre-synchronizing elements are in spring-elastic engagement with the shifting sleeve and are arrested by the shifting sleeve in a middle position. A face end of the locking gear rim includes, but is not limited to outward bulges in direction of the pre-synchronizing elements subject to the setting of spacing between synchronizing ring and pre-synchronizing elements.

  • Publication number: 20120006643
Abstract: A double-acting synchronizer includes, but is not limited to a shaft, first and second gearwheels rotatably mounted on said shaft, a sleeve which is axially displaceable along said shaft between a position in which it locks the first gearwheel to the shaft and a position in which it locks the second gearwheel to the shaft. A single conical friction surface is formed between a first baulk ring and the first gearwheel, and multiple nested conical friction surfaces are formed between a second baulk ring and the second gearwheel.

  • Publication number: 20110214522
Abstract: A shifting clutch includes, but is not limited to a synchronizer body rotationally fixed on a shaft, a first and a second gear wheel, at least two synchronizing rings, a shifting sleeve which is displaceable over a neutral position on the synchronizer body in axial direction of the shaft between a first and a second shifted position, in which it establishes a non-positive connection between synchronizer body and the first or second gear wheel, and at least one thrust piece which is displaceable over a neutral position through the shifting sleeve between a first and a second synchronizing position, in which it loads the first or second synchronizing ring in each case against the first or second gear wheel. The shifting sleeve comprises at least one inwardly directed projection which in the first shifted position restricts the axial freedom of movement of the thrust piece.
