  • Patent number: 10808763
Abstract: A rolling-element bearing subassembly includes a first bearing ring having an axial face lying in a plane and a plurality of rolling elements on a running surface of the first bearing ring. The first bearing ring is connectable to a second bearing ring to form a rolling-element bearing. An annular retaining body having a first leg connected to a second leg by a bridge, the first leg being shorter than the second leg, is mounted on an axial face of the first bearing ring with the first leg contacting the axial face so that the bridge is located on a first side of the plane and the second leg extends through the plane to define an annular gap between a portion of the first bearing ring and the bridge and a portion of the second leg for retaining a lubricant.

  • Patent number: 9695874
Abstract: An injection-molded rolling-element bearing cage has a radially outer-lying surface, a radially inner-lying surface, first and second radial walls connecting the radially outer-lying surface and the radially inner-lying surface, and a plurality of receiving pockets configured to receive rolling elements. The receiving pockets are spaced from the first radial wall by a first annular band of the radially inner-lying surface and from the second radial wall by a second annular band of the radially inner-lying surface, and at least one projection extends radially inward from the radially inner-lying surface into a spaced defined by the radially inner-lying surface, at least part of the at least one projection being located in the first annular band.

  • Patent number: 8123202
Abstract: A plunger piston for an air spring. The air spring being active between a component which is to be cushioned by springs, in particular the vehicle frame, and a sprung component, in particular the axle carrier of a motor vehicle. The plunger piston is configured as a hollow piston which is connected to the sprung component at the lower plunger-piston end and to a pneumatic-spring bellows which can be loaded with compressed air at an upper plunger-piston head. The pneumatic-spring bellows is connected on the other side to the component which is cushioned by springs, and rolls on the outside of the plunger-piston skirt during suspension movements. The lower plunger-piston end has an open configuration and has a reinforcing element which encircles the edge region of the opening.

  • Patent number: 5803621
Abstract: Axial roller bearing assembly for absorbing the axial forces of a steering knuckle pivotally supported on a steering knuckle bolt at the end of an axle of a vehicle comprising first and second bearing disks having spaced confronting raceways for a plurality of rolling elements. One of the disks has a sleeve-like edge, which encloses the rolling elements and the lateral surface of the second disk with play and prevents the rolling elements from escaping radially outwardly. A sealing ring made of elastic-type material is disposed between the sleeve-like edge and the lateral surface. A stop ring (27), separate from the disks (13, 16), is provided on the inner radial envelope circle of the rolling elements (15) to prevent the rolling elements (15) from escaping radially inwardly.
