  • Publication number: 20240286765
Abstract: In a method for maintaining an aircraft air conditioning installation (10), a maintenance control device (100) is connected to a control system (12) of the aircraft air conditioning installation (10). A decontamination activation signal output by the maintenance control device (100) for the activation of a decontamination process is transmitted to the control system (12) of the aircraft air conditioning installation (10).

  • Patent number: 8825414
Abstract: A system for determining the amount of life consumed for a tool includes at least one sensor associated with the tool for generating observation data, a memory in operable communication with the at least one sensor, the memory including a database for storing the observation data generated by the sensor, and a processor in operable communication with the memory. The processor includes a model generator that generates a current model for a current run of the tool. The current model includes parameters of a functional approximation of the observation data. The processor also includes a classifier that classifies the current model and a current run estimator that determine the amount of life consumed based on the classification of the current model and a time of use associated with the current run.

  • Patent number: 8708786
Abstract: An aircraft air-conditioning system includes an air-conditioning unit that is connected by a main fresh-air line to a mixer in order to supply the mixer with fresh air at a desired low temperature. A fresh-air branch line that is connected upstream of the mixer to the main fresh-air line has a flow cross section that is smaller than a flow cross section of the main fresh-air line. In a region of connection of the main fresh-air line to the fresh-air branch line the main fresh-air line and the fresh-air branch line are so formed that a main fresh air flow flowing through the main fresh-air line is deflected, while a fresh air branch flow flowing through the fresh-air branch line experiences substantially no deflection.

  • Publication number: 20140057354
Abstract: The present invention relates to an infectious particle having a surface displaying a ligand binding to a CD4 receptor for selectively infecting dividing CD4+ cells, said particle comprising: (a) one or more structural proteins, and (b) a vector containing a gene of interest functional in a CD4+ cell, said gene of interest encoding a Forkhead box protein 3 or a protein inducing expression of Forkhead box protein 3 in the CD4+ cell.

  • Patent number: 8439061
Abstract: The present invention relates to an emergency ram air inlet valve, also designated as an ERAI valve, of an aircraft. The valve includes an actuating element for opening and/or closing the valve and a controller operatively coupled to the valve, by which the valve can be set at different open angles. The open angle is set as a function of a temperature prevailing or preset in the aircraft cabin.
