Abstract: A method for authenticating a mobile identity (ID) is provided. The mobile ID is provided on an end device of a user. Personal information about the user is first brought into anonymized form via a one-way function known to the end device of the user and to a first entity and transmitted with a single mobile ID certificate to the first entity. A communication exchange between the end device of the user and the first entity is henceforth identified by this mobile ID certificate. At a later point in time, the user is provided a permission option to transmit the personal information in non-anonymized form to the first entity. The first entity uses the then transmitted non-anonymized personal information to check its anonymized form.

Abstract: A method and security system is provided for the secure and unequivocal encoding of a security module, for example, a chip card. A security module may be personalized during the manufacturing process in a secure environment, the manufacturer storing a unique identifier (IDSM1) in a memory of the security module. The secure encoding to ensure the uniqueness of the security module is achieved because the item of information to be kept secret and intended for the security module is encrypted not only by a communication key, but by the unique identifier (IDSM1) of the security module. This ensures that the item of information to be kept secret is able to be decrypted only by the security module with which the unique identifier (IDSM1) is associated, and used for safety-relevant applications.

Abstract: An apparatus for varying the phase of the camshaft in the combustion engine of a motor vehicle has an adjuster which is connected to the camshaft and is operable to adjust the phase of the camshaft prior and subsequent to starting of the engine. To this end, the adjuster is connected with a hydraulic drive system which can operate the adjuster while the engine is idle. Once the engine is started, the drive system receives pressurized fluid from the lubricating circuit of the engine. Prior to starting of the engine, the drive system receives pressurized fluid from a source other than the lubricating circuit or from a source which is provided in addition to the lubricating circuit.
