    Abstract: A fluid friction clutch is provided having a disk and a housing concentrically surrounding the disk, with a working gap formed between the housing and the disk. The housing has a collecting channel for return of clutch fluid from the working gap to a storage chamber. Clutch fluid flows to the collecting channel due to the arrangement of grooves located in axially adjacent groove sections. The collecting channel is axially interposed between the groove sections, and the grooves are sloped so that the clutch fluid flows towards the collecting channel.
