  • Publication number: 20150286200
Abstract: The invention essentially relates to a device for an optimized operation of a local storage system in an electrical energy supply grid connecting distributed generators and distributed loads, in which a storage control unit for the local storage system is present such that, local values are measurable at the local storage and are transmittable to the operator side, locally stored internal installation-dependent control limits are transmittable to the operator side, operational control parameters and/or control limits are receivable from the operator side and a charge/discharge current of the local storage is optimally adjustable at a given point in time by a search of a minimum of a cost function on the basis of the local values, the locally stored internal installation-dependent control limits and the operational control parameters and/or control limits.

  • Publication number: 20150280458
Abstract: The invention essentially relates to a facility for charge current control of storage units in an electrical energy supply grid including, among others, distributed generators and distributed storage units, in which a logic unit is present such that, a storage charge current value can be determined for the storage unit as a function of control variables transferred via a communication system of measurement variables determined at the storage and of locally held internal control variables. This represents an important component for achieving the optimum possible overall utilization of the distributed and multiple-use energy storage.

  • Publication number: 20150254787
Abstract: An energy management system of a power supply grid includes at least one control unit (CU) connected to distributed energy resource controllers (ERC) of energy resources (ER) of the power supply grid by means of a communication network, (CNW) wherein the control unit (CU) monitors communication links (CL) between the control unit (CU) and the energy resource controllers (ERC) via the communication network (CNW), and wherein the control unit (CU) is adapted to calculate a predicted operation behavior of an energy resource (ER) controlled by an energy resource controller (ERC) if a loss of communication or a communication bandwidth limitation of the monitored communication link to the energy resource controller (ERC) is detected.

  • Publication number: 20150236506
Abstract: Method and apparatus for performing a local control of an energy resource An energy resource controller (ERC) of an energy resource (ER) within an energy management system of a power supply grid (PSG), wherein said energy resource controller (ERC) is adapted to monitor a communication link (CL) to a control unit (CU) of said energy management system and to emulate after a loss or limitation of communication via said communication link (CL) has been detected a continued reception of control parameters and/or control limits from said control unit (CU) to perform a local control of the associated energy resource (ER) on the basis of the emulated control parameters and/or control limits according to an applied energy management policy (EMP).

  • Publication number: 20150108947
Abstract: A method for communicating between an electric vehicle and a charging station for electrically charging at least one energy storage device of the electric vehicle. The electric vehicle is connected to the charging station during the charging process by a lockable mechanical coupling between a terminal of charging cable connected to the vehicle and a terminal of the charging station. Charging current is fed from the charging station through the charging cable. Information is transferred in the course of the charging process based on a communication between the electric vehicle and the charging station. The information includes a signal transmitted from the electric vehicle to the charging station for locking and/or unlocking the mechanical coupling. The signal triggers the locking and/or unlocking of the mechanical coupling between the terminal of the charging cable and the terminal at the charging station.

  • Publication number: 20140036989
Abstract: A method establishes an IP-based communications connection between an electric vehicle and a charge control unit associated with a charging station assigned an IP address. The electric vehicle is connected to the charging station via a charging cable and/or an inductive charge coupling for charging and/or discharging. A first communication connection that can be used exclusively by the electric vehicle and the charging station is provided via the charging cable and/or the inductive charging coupling. The electric vehicle having the charging control unit and the charging infrastructure can communicate via a second communications connection that can be used in parallel by other electric vehicles and charge control units. An identification is provided to the electric vehicle and the charging control unit. An IP-based communication is established between the electric vehicle and the charging control unit, using the IP address.
