  • Patent number: 7520962
Abstract: Machine for producing a web includes a system for predefining a quantity of a grade to be produced utilizing a measuring arrangement for measuring quality data during production of the web. The system defines the quantity of the grade to be produced by using data measured by the measuring arrangement during the production of the web.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 7, 2005
Date of Patent: April 21, 2009
    Assignee: Voith Paper Patent GmbH
Inventors: Rudolf Muench, Egon Bild, Siegfried Daum, Joerg Maurer, Tobias Wanke, Werner Reichert, Wolfgang Klotzbuecher, Josef Wigand
  • Patent number: 7353754
Abstract: A marking unit having a writing device that marks a material web which can be wound up onto a core by a winding device to form a reel, the marking device having a signal generator that is operatively connected to the core of the winding device. Depending on the rotation of the core, the signal generator outputs a clock signal to the writing device for marking the material web.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 7059066
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for the production and processing of a material web, specifically a paper or cardboard web are described, whereby the material web is first wound and subsequently unwound for a subsequent finishing process and whereby the material web after being wound and prior to the finishing process is remoistened so that its moisture immediately prior to the finishing process is higher than that immediately prior to winding.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 6, 2003
Date of Patent: June 13, 2006
    Assignee: Voith Paper Patent GmbH

  • Publication number: 20050274474
Abstract: Machine for a web having at least one marking device structured and arranged to apply at least two markings at a distance from one another in a longitudinal direction to the web. At least one measuring device is arranged downstream, relative to a web run direction, of the at least one marking device. The at least one measuring device is structured and arranged to measure the distance between the markings. The instant abstract is neither intended to define the invention disclosed in this specification nor intended to limit the scope of the invention in any way.

  • Patent number: 6739545
Abstract: Process and apparatus for winding a running material web, in particular a paper or cardboard web, in which the running material web is wound consecutively on several winding cores, in particular reel spools. At least one cut is made preferably running parallel to the web edge of the running material web and in the web travel direction of the running material web. After the started at least one cut has run through the nip formed by the winding roll and the new winding core, the at least one formed transfer strip which is incorporated in the running material web is detached from the outer circumferential area of the winding roll by at least one directed high-energy air jet that is generated briefly by at least one separator device and simultaneously cuts through. Subsequently, the at least one now detached transfer strip is transferred onto, and preferably applied to, the outer circumferential area of the new winding core by at least one first blower device, in particular a blower shoe.
