  • Patent number: 9527304
Abstract: A method for producing a component with a real-wood surface. The method includes supplying an original and inputting into an electronic data processing system original data related to an appearance of a surface of the original. Additionally, the method includes supplying a timber having a pore structure corresponding to that of a predetermined type of wood and printing a surface of the timber using an inkjet printing method in accordance with the original data such that a three-dimensional surface structure of timber determined by the pore structure is at least partly retained. The component has an appearance corresponding to the appearance of the surface of the original, has a grain and the pore structure corresponding to the predetermined type of wood, and has a predetermined coloration.

  • Patent number: 8628089
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a jigsaw puzzle having at least one puzzle piece that can be bent along at least one predefined bending line, and that has an upper side and a lower side and a puzzle piece thickness extending between the upper side and the lower side which is reduced from an inner side of a bend along each bending line. In order to neutralise the resilient restoring force that acts in the bent state, on each side of each bending line there is a fixing device which releasably fixes a desired bending angle, each fixing device having at least one recess into which a corresponding protrusion engages in a clamping and/or latching manner when the puzzle piece is bent.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: January 14, 2014
    Assignee: Ravensburger Spieleverlag GmbH
Inventors: Florian Knell, Joerg R. Bauer
  • Patent number: 8544849
Abstract: The invention relates to a three-dimensional, self-supporting jigsaw puzzle, having a multiplicity of puzzle pieces resulting in a hollow body in the assembled state, each puzzle piece having an upper face associated with the exterior of the hollow body, a lower face associated with the interior of the hollow body, an edge extending between the upper face and the lower face, and at least one connecting region extending from the edge in the form of a recess or an extension.

  • Patent number: 8256890
Abstract: A device for printing at least one component using a digital printing method includes at least one print bar with a plurality of spray nozzles for electronically controlled spraying of coloring liquid and at least one holding device structured and arranged for holding the at least one component. Additionally, the device includes a transport device for generating a linear relative motion between the at least one print bar and the at least one holding device directed approximately perpendicular to a spray direction of the plurality of spray nozzles and a control device, with which the transport device and the plurality of spray nozzles can be controlled such that the at least one component is printed with a predetermined pattern. Further, the device includes a rotation device controllable by the control device, and structured and arranged to rotate the at least one component through about an axis, which is tilted to the spray direction of the spray nozzles.

  • Publication number: 20100221504
Abstract: In a method for producing a component with a relief surface, the relief surface is produced by printing an unfinished component (14) with a curable relief liquid by means of a digital printing method controlled by electronic data processing, wherein the electronically stored design (72) corresponding to the relief surface contains relief data assigned to two-dimensional surface elements of the relief design, which relief data correspond to the quantity of the relief liquid to be applied for each surface element.
