  • Patent number: 9776494
Abstract: A motor vehicle body structure includes a frame rail and a bracket attached to the rail and adapted for attaching an engine mount. The bracket has a first portion secured to the frame rail beneath the engine mount and at least one cantilever portion projecting at one end beyond the first portion. The cantilever portion defines an anchoring point for attachment of the engine mount that is spaced from the frame rail so that the portion of the frame rail beneath the anchoring point may undergo controlled deformation in the event of a front end vehicle collision.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 27, 2016
Date of Patent: October 3, 2017
    Assignee: Ford Global Technologies, LLC
Inventors: Matthew David George Shynn, Bradley Staines, Joerg Reim, Matthew Sykes, Jon Horseman, Peter Brook, Alan Thorpe, Raise Ahmed

  • Patent number: 7229099
Abstract: A chassis auxiliary-frame arrangement on a preferably self-supporting vehicle body is designed for improving the safety in a crash in such a manner that, in a frontal impact of the vehicle, the deformation zones of the vehicle body can be adequately and uniformly deformed without interference from the chassis auxiliary frame in order thereby to achieve a greater effective crash length of the deformation zones of the body. For this purpose, the chassis auxiliary-frame has devices for fastening it to the vehicle body, which devices, during a frontal impact of the vehicle, are completely detached above a certain degree of deformation of the deformation zones of the body, the chassis auxiliary-frame is therefore completely decoupled from the body and is pushed under the passenger cell 9 by means of a ramp.

  • Patent number: 6153576
Abstract: Described are complexes of the transition metals manganese, iron, cobalt, ruthenium, molybdenum, titanium, vanadium and/or copper containing one or more ligands of general formula (I) ou (II)in which R is a direct bond or an optionally amin-group-substituted alkylene group with 1 to 4 C-atoms, A is a condensed or non-condensed ring system containing at least one nitrogen atom, B is hydrogen, an OH-group or the same as A, and X is a phenyl ring optionally substituted with and/or C.sub.1-4 alkyl or an optionally hydroxy-substituted C.sub.1-4 alkylene group. The complexes are suitable for use as activators or peroxy compounds in oxidative washing, cleaning and disinfectant solutions, washing and cleaning agents preferably containing 0.0025 to 0.25% by wt. of such activator complexes.
