  • Patent number: 11958453
Abstract: A method for operating a brake system. A brake request signal characterizing a brake request is generated by actuating a positioner system of an actuating circuit, and a setpoint brake pressure required in an active circuit is ascertained based on the brake request signal. An actual brake pressure is set in the active circuit according to the setpoint brake pressure using a pressure generation device by moving a displacement piston using an electric motor to actuate a wheel brake coupled with the active circuit. Under the condition that the brake request signal is constant over a predefined period of time, a pressure modulation is carried out, which includes setting the actual brake pressure in the active circuit to a value that is greater than the setpoint brake pressure, and lowering the actual brake pressure by moving the displacement piston using the electric motor until the setpoint brake pressure is reached.

  • Publication number: 20220161773
Abstract: A connection of a piston-cylinder unit of an power brake pressure generator of an electrohydraulic power vehicle braking system to an unpressurized brake fluid reservoir with the aid of a pressure limiting valve and a controllable valve. The pressure limiting valve prevents pressure spikes in the vehicle braking system if inlet valves of hydraulic wheel brakes of the vehicle braking system are closed during a pressure buildup with the aid of the power brake pressure generator. Brake fluid may be drawn in or discharged from the brake fluid reservoir via the controllable valve during a slip control.

  • Patent number: 10286890
Abstract: A wake-up device for a brake system component of a vehicle includes a magnet that is arranged to be set, via a transmission device, in rotational motion jointly with a shifting of a driver brake force transmission component, thereby effecting a relative motion between the magnet and an electrical conductor. The relative motion induces an induction voltage. An output device outputs the induction voltage or a wake-up signal generated based on the induction voltage to the brake system component, thereby controlling the brake system component to transition from a first energy use mode to a second energy use mode. A method includes controlling the brake system component to transition from the first energy use mode to the second energy use mode by outputting the induction voltage or wake-up signal generated as described above.

  • Patent number: 9302657
Abstract: A method for operating a motor vehicle hydraulic braking system having at least one electric motor-operated braking pressure generator. The output power of the electric motor-operated braking pressure generator is restricted during normal driving/braking situations and the restriction is temporarily deactivated upon identification of a critical driving situation, such as an overstressing of the brake system to include brake fade.
