Patents by Inventor Joerg Werner Baier

Joerg Werner Baier has filed for patents to protect the following inventions. This listing includes patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

  • Patent number: 8807164
Abstract: The present invention provides devices and methods for micro-scale simulated moving bed chromatography (SMB) for continuous preparation of analytic quantities of highly pure fractions of target molecules. The present apparatus and method of the invention is adapted in a preferred embodiment to separations by affinity chromatography involving three discontinuous liquid flow loops. An alternative embodiment of affinity chromatography utilizes standard SMB operating under isocratic conditions.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 30, 2007
Date of Patent: August 19, 2014
    Assignee: Semba Biosciences, Inc.
Inventors: Joerg Werner Baier, Robert Charles Mierendorf, Anthony Charles Grabski, Andrew Paul Wilke, Anil Rajaram Oroskar
  • Publication number: 20110095651
Abstract: A device and method for the detection of the interaction between two or more objects is disclosed. The device utilizes electrical impedance spectra measured from a piezoelectric element attached to one such object. Comparison of such spectra along a range of traverse allows precise estimates of distance to be made. One useful application is the topographical mapping of a surface.
    Type: Application
    Filed: October 27, 2010
    Publication date: April 28, 2011
    Applicant: SONOPLOT, INC.
Inventors: Bradley James Larson, Joerg Werner Baier
