  • Publication number: 20210036775
Abstract: Disclosed are an apparatus and testing methods for performing testing operations over multiple types of links and through multiple potential points of failure to segment sources of problems, which may relate to reported or actual instances of service disruption in a network communication environment. The apparatus may perform service layer testing directly via an optical link, in addition to via Ethernet service layer testing. The apparatus may further conduct tests on other layers as well, including the physical layer, the network layer, and the link layer. To facilitate efficient testing, the apparatus may integrate programmable workflow profiles that specify tests to be conducted, and may interface with a cloud platform for sharing results of the tests, providing end-to-end testing of various components and types of links (whether optical or electrical, including wired and wireless links). Results of the tests may provide guidance to resolve detected problems.

  • Patent number: 6289738
Abstract: A sensor is proposed that has a measuring diaphragm (2), with at least one resistor measurement bridge (7, 8); a deflection of the measuring diaphragm (2) causes mistuning of the respective measurement bridge (7, 8), and the resultant change in the bridge diagonal voltage can be evaluated. The sensor (1) has one resistor measurement bridge (7, 8) on each half (3, 4) of the measuring diaphragm (2), and in each of the resistor measurement bridges (7, 8), two opposed bridge branches (R1, R4) are changed in their resistance values (&Dgr;R) by radial compressive offset, and the respectively other bridge branches (R2, R3) are altered in their resistances by radial or tangential elongation.

  • Patent number: 5703293
Abstract: A rotational sensor has a vibrating weight with two acceleration sensors mounted on it. The two acceleration sensors are designed to detect forces acting at a right angle to each other. The vibrating weight is set in vibration by means of driving devices, and rotation of the rotational sensor about two axes of rotation that are normal to each other is detected with the help of the acceleration sensors. The Coriolis forces in a plane are determined in this way.

  • Patent number: 5261279
Abstract: A rotor for detecting inclination angles in relation to a defined rotational axis perpendicular to the direction of the field of gravity is proposed. In the center area of the sensor interior, enclosed by a housing, a mounting (25) is located, which is fixed in relation to the housing (30), and on which a seismic mass is suspended so that it can swing. The seismic mass is formed in the shape of a rotor (10) which is asymmetrical in respect to the mounting (25) and which can perform excursions around an axis defined by the mounting (25). Portions (11, 12) of the rotor (10) constitute electrodes of a capacitor arrangement. A border (20), fixed in relation to the housing (30), is disposed around the rotor (10) parallel to the axis defined by the mounting (25). The portions (21, 22, 23) of the border (20) constitute the backplate electrodes of the capacitor arrangement.
