Abstract: A safety paper with an embedded electronic circuit (1, 4, 7) is used to create more effective forgery-proof securities such as bank notes. In order to check authenticity, a carrier-frequency signal is transmitted to the circuit and an output signal representing an authenticating feature is emitted from raid circuit in response to said input signal and detected.

Abstract: In order to protect against falsification, an information carrier is doped with a photochromic substance. The location of the points (2), wherein the photochromic substance is embedded, is stored in readable form. For authentication purposes, the location of said points (2) is read out optically and compared with the stored information (FIG. 1), whereby a suitable initialization device is used.

Abstract: To enhance the security of air traffic, tamperproof recordings are produced on the passenger's boarding pass, which have a unique relationship with the identity of the passenger and his luggage. This relationship is monitored from the time the passenger checks in at the departure airport until he leaves the destination airport.

Abstract: An apparatus for releasing a safety device of a firearm with a trigger for actuating the apparatus, wherein the safety device is capable of blocking the actuation of the apparatus. The safety device is provided at the firearm with a source of electric energy and an electronic circuit energized by the source of electric energy. The electronic circuit includes a transmitter for wirelessly transmitting an interrogation signal to a transponder provided separately from the firearm, a receiver for receiving a response signal wirelessly transmitted from the transponder in response to the interrogation signal, a device for examining information contained in the response signal, a releasing device driven by the examining device and deblocking the actuation of the apparatus depending on the examination result, and a non-volatile memory having an identification code for the firearm stored therein.

Abstract: Weapons (1) are secured against unauthorised use by configuring the triggering device in such a way that said triggering device is only released when a transponder (18) which is to be carried by the user of the weapon and which is interrogated when the trigger (3) is pulled from an electronic switching circuit (11) of the weapon, sends back a valid licence code. The invention also relates to electronically ignited ammunition and to a suitable weapon configuration for the same. The weapon contains a real time clock (14), so that the time and date of each activation of the weapon can be stored. The ammunition contains a code identifying the type of ammunition, which can be read out through a contact arrangement of the weapon.
