  • Patent number: 7357617
Abstract: A fan including a plurality of spaced fan bodies that rotate in a substantially cylindrical cavity having inlet and outlet openings for tangential intake and discharge of the fluid, the fan bodies comprising substantially disc-shaped bodies that extend in a substantially radial direction from the shaft and are positioned on the shaft such that the shaft runs through the centre of the fan bodies and in such a manner that a void is formed between two neighbouring fan bodies, and wherein each fan body is connected to the shaft or to a spacer only, and wherein the fan bodies are provided with flow elements on both of their radially extending faces, the flow elements consisting of curved projections, the curved projections being curved forwardly as compared to the direction of rotation of the fan bodies and the curved projections extending between two imaginary circles on the fan bodies' radially extending faces having radii r1 and r2 respectively, wherein r1<r2, the radius r1 is larger than the outer radius of

  • Publication number: 20060188365
Abstract: A device for obtaining circulation of air, a method for mounting the device and a use of the device. For a number of applications there is a need for a cold or warm curtain of air, for example to ensure adequate chilling of food products in a refrigerated/freezer counter. It is an object of the present invention to provide a fan which can be adapted to the individual site regarding fluid curtain length/width by varying the length of the shaft and the number of fan bodies on the shaft.

  • Patent number: 7066718
Abstract: The invention relates to a liquid ring compressor and/or pump, comprising a rotating compressor casing (1), a shaft journal (10) eccentrically located relative to the compressor casing's axis of rotation, with a surrounding bearing (15). One or more compressor wheels (14) with at least one vane are disposed in the compressor casing with the inside of the compressor wheel (14) in abutment against and rotating around the bearing (15) and inlet and outlet ports for the fluid that has to be compressed. When the compressor casing is rotated, a liquid ring (20) is created against the inner wall of the rotating compressor casing (1), which liquid ring (20) together with the compressor wheel (14) forms compression chambers.

  • Patent number: 5901568
Abstract: A heat pump with a closed cooling medium circuit for transport of heat from one air flow to another, comprises an evaporator (27) provided in one air flow for evaporation of a cooling medium, a compressor for compression of the vaporiform cooling medium, a condenser (28) provided in the other air flow for condensation of the cooling medium, and a return system for condensed cooling medium from the condenser (28) to the evaporator (27). The evaporator (27), the compressor and the condenser (28) are located in a fan casing (32) and arranged to rotate about a common shaft (1), with the compressor in the middle. The compressor works according to the liquid ring principle and comprises a rotating compressor housing (17), an intermediate shaft (2) mounted eccentrically on the outside of the shaft and one or more free-running impellers (3A, 3B), thus causing the compressor housing (17) to transfer rotary energy to the impellers via the liquid ring during operation.
