  • Patent number: 11974063
Abstract: Transcribed text and physiological data of a remote video conference participant are transmitted to a local device separately from the video data, which depicts the remote party during a time interval. An image of the video data is captured at a time instant within the time interval. A value of a remote party feature is determined remotely using the video data. The remote party feature can be the remote party's heart rate at the time instant. The value of the feature is received onto the local device. Audio data captures sounds spoken by the remote party and is converted by the remote device into words of text. The audio data converted into a particular word was captured at the time instant. The particular word is received onto the local device. The particular word and the value of the feature are displayed in association with one another on the local device.

  • Publication number: 20240019921
Abstract: A device running a mobile app optimizes battery power, data storage, and accuracy of a model. Data concerning a setting and modality of a sensor of the device is collected. Historical data is retrieved concerning the amounts of battery power and data storage consumed while the sensor operates in the setting. The model is trained based on the data concerning the setting and modality and on the historical data concerning the consumed battery power and data storage. The model is based on the setting of the sensor. The accuracy achieved by the model at a maximum consumed battery power and data storage is measured. The accuracy achieved by the model is compared to an accuracy threshold. The model is adopted if the accuracy of the model equals or exceeds the accuracy threshold. The device is configured to operate the sensor using the setting and the mobile app using the model.

  • Publication number: 20230245659
Abstract: Video data captured during a time interval at the location of a remote party to a videoconference is received onto a remote device. The video data depicts the remote party. Audio data capturing sounds spoken by the remote party during the time interval is also received onto the remote device, which converts the audio data into words of text and captures prosodic information describing the sounds spoken by the remote party during the time interval. The words of text are received onto a local device. The prosodic information corresponding to the sounds spoken by the remote party during the time interval that were converted into the words of text are also received onto the local device. The words of text and prosodic information are stored in association with one another. A physiological parameter of the remote party is determined using the video data and is received onto the local device.

  • Publication number: 20230246868
Abstract: The intelligibility of a video conference is monitored using speech-to-text conversion and by comparing text as spoken to text converted from received audio. A first portion of audio data of speech of a user which is timestamped with a first time is input into a first audio and text analyzer. A second portion of the audio data, which is also timestamped with the first time, is received onto a remote audio and text analyzer. The first audio and text analyzer converts the first portion of audio data into a first text fragment. The remote audio and text analyzer converts the second portion of audio data into a second text fragment. The first audio and text analyzer receives the second text fragment. The first text fragment is compared to the second text fragment. Whether the first text fragment matches the second text fragment is indicated to the user on a display.

  • Publication number: 20220361759
Abstract: A smartphone plugin determines the heart rate and the breathing rate of a user, who is either holding the smartphone in his/her hand or who has the smartphone resting on his/her chest when lying in a supine position, using only smartphone accelerometer output data and no external sensors. The smartphone is preloaded with spectral entropy to weight mapping information for each of a plurality of use cases. The plugin performs frequency domain processing on accelerometer output data to determine an estimated heart rate EHR and an estimated breathing rate EBR. The spectral entropy of accelerometer output data is determined, and is used along with an appropriate spectral entropy to weight mapping, to determine an EHR weight for each EHR value and an EBR weight for each EBR value. The weights are used to adjust the EHR and EBR values to generate more accurate heart rate and breathing rate values.

  • Publication number: 20220092158
Abstract: A user is validated using first data from sensors on the user's portable device and second data input by the user. The user's digital behavioral fingerprint is generated using the first data. Whether the user's purported identity is authentic is determined by computing an authenticity score using the fingerprint. The user's identity is authentic if the authenticity score is less than a first threshold and potentially not authentic if greater than the first threshold. If potentially not authentic, whether the second data is invalid is determined using a conformity score that compares the second data to prior data of the user and data associated with others. The second data is not invalid if the conformity score is less than a second threshold, but invalid if greater than the second threshold. Access to a service is granted if either the user's identity is authentic or the second data is not invalid.

  • Publication number: 20210313042
Abstract: A method for generating a treatment plan for a psychological disorder uses both static and dynamic content to customize the logical model of the treatment plan for a particular patient. A file containing static content is generated at a static layer of a computer program. The file uses a machine readable format to define the treatment plan. A logical model that the program uses to implement the treatment plan is generated at a data modeling layer based on the static content. Events based on responses from the patient that were elicited in response to the static content are generated at an application logic layer. Dynamic content is created using the events. The logical model is then modified based on the dynamic content. The treatment plan is presented to the patient by a visualization layer based on the modified logical model. Responses to the treatment plan are received from the patient.

  • Publication number: 20210274318
Abstract: An electronic device includes a context scanner, an emotion feedback module, and a processing unit. The context scanner scans an area during a predetermined time period to detect position and proximity information of the electronic device of a user. The position information indicates the geographic location of the electronic device within the area. The proximity information indicates that the electronic device is in the proximity of a second electronic device of a second user. The emotion feedback module detects the user's emotional response during the time period by sensing physiological and physical signals of the user. The processing unit executes an algorithm that determines the relationship between the position information, the proximity information and the emotional response. The processing unit generates a report based on the relationship. The report indicates how the user's presence in the geographic location and the user's proximity to the second user influence the user's well-being.

  • Publication number: 20210235261
Abstract: A method for preserving the privacy of sensor data from a smartphone associates the sensor data with heatspots instead of with actual geographic locations. Sensor data is collected from a plurality of sensors installed on the smartphone of a user. The sensor data is grouped by a plurality of heatspots in which the sensor data was sensed by the smartphone. Each heatspot corresponds to a geographic area that has a distinct significance to the user, such as the user's home or workplace. Each of the heatspots is labeled with a unique identifier associated with the corresponding geographic area. The collected sensor data together with the unique identifier of the heatspot in which the sensor data was sensed and a timestamp of when the data was sensed is transmitted from the smartphone to a server. Information identifying the actual geographic area in which the sensor data was sensed is not transmitted.

  • Publication number: 20170374600
Abstract: Present invention refers to a method and a system for intelligent routing of an incoming call over a dual telecommunication network supporting both CS and PS connections, comprising: initiating, from a call router server, a CS call establishment connection; at roughly the same time, sending, a push message over the PS connection to a callee's mobile device; as result of receiving the push message, registering said callee's mobile device into the call router server; providing the call router server with a measure of quality of a PS connection; and in the event of receiving, at the call router server, an unreachable notification from the CS connection and the measure of quality is higher than a pre-established minimum value, routing the incoming call through the PS connection.
