  • Patent number: 9916231
Abstract: A method for testing an application running on an electronic device includes parsing, by a test processor, a state model of the application representing relationships among a plurality nodes, each node representing an application state. The method further includes parsing, by the test processor, a test implementation file including a plurality of commands for manipulating at least one of the application and the electronic device, each of the plurality of commands associated with respective ones of the plurality of nodes, traversing, by the test processor, the state model of the application by selecting for testing an application node in accordance with the node relationships in the state model. The method also includes selecting, by the test processor, one or more of the plurality of commands for testing the application based on at least one criteria, and executing, by the test processor, the one or more selected commands.

  • Publication number: 20110096724
Abstract: Apparatus configured to operate within a communication network as a pool proxy, routing signalling traffic between a node of a first network and one of a set of pooled nodes within a second network. The apparatus is further configured to operate in one of an active state and a passive state towards the first network node and, when in said active state to send a heartbeat signal to at least one of said pooled nodes for relaying to a peer pool proxy and, when in said passive state, to receive a heartbeat signal from a peer pool proxy relayed via at least one of said pooled nodes. In the event that no heartbeat signal is received when in the passive state, the apparatus is configured to activate itself as pool proxy towards the first network node.

  • Publication number: 20110060824
Abstract: A signalling proxy system for a switching center server is provided, as well as a method of operating a signalling proxy system for a switching center server. The signalling proxy system comprises two signalling proxies for routing signalling traffic between a network node and a plurality of switching center server units. Each signalling proxy is addressable by an address code and is operable in one of an active state and a passive state towards the network node.

  • Patent number: 7623498
Abstract: A method of providing charge information to a user of a mobile terminal (2), which information relates to an IP connection or connections being used by the user. The method comprises the steps of identifying the terminal (2) or the user to a charge control node (CCN) (10) located in a home network (1) of the terminal (2) or user and, for the duration of the IP connection(s), using the existing connection or one of the existing connections to transport a stream of charge information messages from the CCN (10) to the mobile terminal (2).

  • Publication number: 20070220166
Abstract: A method of updating routing tables stored at a multiplicity of Signalling End Points of an SS7 over IP signalling network following the introduction of a new Signalling End Point into the network, the method comprising sending a message from the new Signalling End Point to an existing Signalling End Point, the message identifying an IP address and SS7 address(es) of the new Signalling End Point, updating the routing table(s) stored at said existing Signalling End Point with the new address information, forwarding said message from said existing Signalling End Point to other Signalling. End Points identified in the routing table(s) at said existing Signalling End Point, and updating the routing tables at said other Signalling End Points upon receipt of said messages.

  • Publication number: 20070105529
Abstract: A method of reallocating charges relating to one or more connections from a first subscriber 1 of a mobile telecommunications network 1 to a second subscriber 2 of that or a different mobile telecommunications network. The method comprises temporarily linking the accounts of the two subscribers maintained in the or each associated Cost Control Node 9,16, receiving at the Cost control Node 9,16 associated with the first subscriber, real time charging messages according to the CAMEL protocol, and allocating the charging messages to the account of the second subscriber including, if necessary, transferring the charging messages to the Cost control Node 17 associated with the second subscriber.

  • Publication number: 20060168303
Abstract: The present invention provides a mechanism for coordinating charging for a multimedia session between a mobile terminal and a remote host on both an application/session level and on an IP/access bearer level. The multimedia session is established over a radio access network via a packet-switched access network coupled to a multimedia system. The multimedia system has one or more multimedia servers for providing multimedia services for multimedia sessions. A token associated with the multimedia session is generated and used to correlate session charges for operations performed in the packet-switched access network and for operations performed in the multimedia system.
