  • Publication number: 20180239049
Abstract: Various methods for performing inversion of data obtained from a CSEM survey in order to determine resistivity values in a surveyed space are disclosed. A method includes initializing an objective functional dependent measured and modeled electric field data and iteratively minimizing the objective functional to produce an estimated set of expansion coefficients for generating a multi-dimensional record of resistivity values. The set of expansion coefficients is dependent on a resistivity model, which in turn is used to generate an electric field model in the form of a multi-dimensional grid having a number of grid points. Thus, instead of performing the inversion for each point in the grid, the record of resistivity values is generated based on the set of coefficients. The number of coefficients may be at least one decimal order of magnitude less than the number of grid points, and thus the computational effort is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20170227668
Abstract: A method and system for estimation of electromagnetic earth responses in a marine electromagnetic survey. A method may comprise estimating initial values of the electromagnetic earth responses and ambient noise applicable to the marine electromagnetic survey; and processing electromagnetic data based on the initial values of the electromagnetic earth responses and the ambient noise to obtain a joint estimation of updated values of the electromagnetic earth responses and the ambient noise, wherein the electromagnetic data was acquired with one or more electromagnetic sensors, wherein the electromagnetic data contains measurements of an electromagnetic field.

  • Publication number: 20170059734
Abstract: A resistivity profile can be generated directly from measured electromagnetic field data from a marine survey. A series of transformations can be applied to remove a conductivity dependency from a boundary value problem such that an inversion method may no longer be required to generate the resistivity profile.

  • Publication number: 20160249821
Abstract: A guide wire for biological pressure measurement includes a tube extending along a longitudinal axis of the guide wire; and a pressure sensor for biological pressure measurement, at least a portion of the pressure sensor being mounted within the tube. The pressure sensor comprises a pressure sensor membrane facing a top side of the tube. A circumferential wall of the tube includes at least six openings: a first distal opening, a second distal opening located on a right side of the tube, a third distal opening located on a left side of the tube, a first proximal opening, a second proximal opening located on a right side of the tube, and a third proximal opening located on a left side of the tube. The first distal opening is larger than the second and third distal openings, and the first proximal opening is larger than the second and third proximal openings.

  • Patent number: 8990019
Abstract: Disclosed are apparatus and methods for determining characteristics of a target region which is embedded in background material below a body of water. In accordance with one embodiment, a resistivity background is determined. In addition, characteristics of an electric dipole due to the target region are determined. A resistance for the target region is then computed using the characteristics of the electric dipole and the resistivity background. Other embodiments, aspects and features are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7997217
Abstract: The invention refers to an implement regulating device in an agricultural machine including at least one group of implements (4) arranged across the driving direction, thereafter cross-wise arranged support members (15) and at least one each group of implements and support members are controllable and adjustable by a power device (23). Implements (4) and support members (15) in each group are journalled in bearings at one end of at least one carrying arm (13). The power device (23) is adapted to rotate a cross-running main beam (19). The main beam is connected with the carrying arm (13) via a spring member (18) and is rotatably suspended in relation to the frame (Ia) of the machine (1). Activation of the power device is adapted to influence the carrying arm between a position for maximum sowing depth and a transport position.

  • Publication number: 20050251466
Abstract: The present invention relates to computer arrangements and methods for investment decision support. An advice database comprises a plurality of records for storing advice messages relating to pieces of investment advice. An advice evaluation mechanism is operable to use a set of criteria having at least one variable parameter for evaluating an advice message by determining the variable parameter in response to the advice message, checking whether the plurality of records fulfill the set of criteria and generating an evaluation result based on the result of the checking. A criteria optimization mechanism can be used to optimize the set of criteria to be used in the advice evaluation mechanism.
