Patent number: 10842199Abstract: A system to generate a vapor from a liquid includes an electric heater and an elongate wick. The electric heater defines an interior void having an inner surface and a plurality of apertures, and it is formed of an electrically resistive material contained within a heat diffusing material. The elongate wick is formed of a durable elongate structure having a plurality of liquid-conducting features on the outer surface. At least a portion of the liquid-conducting features of the elongate wick proximate the first end engage at least a portion of the one inner surface of the electric heater and are capable of conducting a the liquid from a source proximate the second end of the wick along the outer surface of the elongate wick to the electric heater.Type: GrantFiled: December 12, 2019Date of Patent: November 24, 2020Assignee: McNeil ABInventors: Christopher Althorpe, Ian James Binder, David Andrew McLeod, Lee Kelepouris, Salih Muhsin Muhammed, Johan Nordström, Alexandru Paunescu

Patent number: 6615059Abstract: A microphone is provided in a mobile terminal and is connected to a current source when the flip portion of the mobile terminal is open and is disconnected from the current source when the flip portion of the phone is closed. The mobile terminal can then infer the position of the flip portion of the housing, e.g., opened or closed, based upon the state of the microphone's current supply circuit, for example by detecting the current flowing through the circuit or a voltage drop across a supply resistor. In addition, an on-hook/off-hook button can be provided to a hands-free accessory without increasing a number of signal lines/connections between the hands-free accessory and the mobile terminal. This can be accomplished, for example, by connecting the on-hook/off-hook button to a switch in the microphone signal line. The switch selectively creates an open in the microphone signal line, which can be detected by the mobile terminal, thereby resulting in an off-hook condition.Type: GrantFiled: January 20, 2000Date of Patent: September 2, 2003Assignee: Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (publ)Inventors: Claes Göran Pehrsson, Johan Georg Michael Uggmark, Heino Jean Wendelrup, Ola Martin Sallenhag, Lars Engelin, Johan Nordström
