  • Publication number: 20100210216
Abstract: In a wireless communication device having two housing sections that move relative to one another between open and closed positions, relative movement between the housing sections is detected using a pair of accelerometers. One accelerometer is disposed on or in a first housing section and one accelerometer is disposed on or in a second housing section. A control unit in the wireless communication device detects the opening and closing of the housing sections by detecting differences between the acceleration of the housing sections.
