  • Publication number: 20080291029
Abstract: A security tag assembly and security system associated therewith to prevent the unauthorized removal of merchandise from a given area, such as a retail establishment. The security tag assembly comprises a base and at least one attachment member removably connected in an operative position on the merchandise being protected. A locking assembly including a locking member is structured to restrict detachment of the attachment member and is forcibly disposed out of movement restricting relation to said connector member when the base and the attachment member are separated. A detachment assembly and a data registering processor may include a two-way communication link which facilitates processing of the merchandise data disposed on the security tag assembly, such that the purchasing of the merchandise and the removal of the security tag assembly can be effectively accomplished without jeopardizing the security of the merchandise being sold.

  • Patent number: 7196742
Abstract: An assembly structured to facilitate the viewing of a display screen or like display structure of the type typically found on a digital camera. A base having an open interior is fixedly or removably secured in surrounding relation to the display screen and extends. outwardly therefrom. A closure assembly includes a plurality of shade sections selectively positionable between an operative position and a closed position. The operative position comprises the shade sections extending outwardly from the base in substantially coaxial relation thereto so as to at least partially define, along with the base, a viewing channel disposed within and extending through both the closure assembly and the base when the closure assembly is in the operative position.

  • Publication number: 20060139176
Abstract: A security tag assembly structured to prevent the unauthorized removal of merchandise from a given area such as a retail establishment comprising a base and an attachment member. A connector pin is secured to a seat portion of the base and extends outwardly there from into engagement with a locking assembly on an interior of the attachment member. The locking assembly restricts movement of the connector pin outwardly from the attachment member and is structured to be destructively detached from the pin when the base and the attachment member are forcibly separated thereby requiring the attachment member to be disposed of and replaced. The base is re-useable and includes a display field for exposing predetermined merchandise data or other information on an exterior of said base. An RF communication/signaling structure may be combined with the base for tracking and/or alarm activation purposes.

  • Publication number: 20060017574
Abstract: A security tag assembly structured to indicate the unauthorized removal of merchandise from a given area such as a retail establishment. A housing includes separable portions having a connector member structured to removably connect the merchandise to the housing and positionable into removable and locking engagement with a locking assembly when the housing is in an operative position relative to the merchandise. A shield assembly is mounted on the housing in protective, preferably surrounding or at least partially enclosing relation to the locking assembly so as to restrict unauthorized access to the locking assembly and/or the positioning thereof relative to the connector member.
