  • Patent number: 6154882
Abstract: The invention relates to a protection device intended for reducing the risk and effect of hand and arm injuries during, for example, sporting activities. The protection device comprises a gripping element (2) arranged to be placed at the palmar side of the hand in such a way that at least some of the fingers of the hand can optionally be closed around the gripping element (2) or alternatively be opened and release the grip about the gripping element (2), that the gripping element (2) is so shaped and placed in the hand that the user is influenced to clench the hand around it when, for example, falling and that the gripping element (2) is formed to allow good freedom of movement for the hand so that desired articles can be gripped.

  • Patent number: 6098567
Abstract: The invention refers to driver's seat for boats, including at least a seat and a steering device. The purpose of the invention is to provide a seat and steering device which reduce the risk of injuries when driving boats during hard conditions and in bad weather. By means of the invention the driver should have the possibility to use his arms, legs and thigh muscles as shock absorbing elements which will reduce the risk of injuries to the driver's back. The driver's seat should at the same time be designed to create good comfort and good control possibilities for driving the boat. The invention is characterized by that the seat is saddle shaped, elastic and designed with elements for absorbing side forces and, that the steering device is designed as a handlebar with controls, at least the control for the gas, arranged at one end of the handlebar.

  • Patent number: 5787166
Abstract: A telephone communication headset for attachment to the outer ear of an operator and comprising a main unit (3) which supports an arm (2) with a microphone (1) at its outer end, and an earphone (5) on the main unit. Furthermore, a U-shaped support (6) is arranged with a first and a second downwardly-directed shank, said support (6) being attached to the main unit. A connecting upper portion (9) is arranged between the two shanks, which portion is arranged, in a position of use, to rest against the uppermost point of the outer ear, where the outer ear attaches to the scull. A weight (11) is arranged so that its mass and leverage presses the rear shank (10) of the support (6) towards the rear side of the outer ear and into the fold between the outer ear and the skull. The effect of gravity on the microphone (1) and the microphone-arm (2) is also counter-balanced.

  • Patent number: 5701619
Abstract: Stretcher consisting of a piece of material (1), said material being a semi-rigid material such as cellular plastics and having recesses (10, 11) forming handgrips for being carried. Longitudinal channels (4) extend on both sides of a middle part of the material piece (1), said channels being arranged to house stiffening elements (15, 16) having a flat cross-section with substantially larger width than thickness. The width of the middle part between the channels corresponds to the width of a body plus two times half the body thickness of persons to which the stretcher is adapted, so that when the material piece is folded around a person, the channels (4) will be located on the sides of the body. The material layers (1, 5) which delimit the channels will then be located substantially vertically when the stretcher is carried by the handgrips so that the stiffening elements are maintained held with their sections on edge when the arrangement is used for transport.

  • Patent number: 4690459
Abstract: Chair or stool comprising a seat (1) with a sitting surface and carried by a stand (7). The sitting surface is divided into two portions, a rear portion (2) intended to form a resting surface for the seat in the area of the ischium of a person, who is sitting on the seat, and a front portion (3), intended to form a resting surface for the under side of the thighs of said person. The rear portion is provided as a substantially horizontal main surface and with an effective length of substantially 10-15 cm utilized as a rest. The front portion is provided as a second main surface, which slopes forwards and downwards in an angle of substantially 16-30 degrees preferably 18-20 degrees and with a length from the edge of the rear portion (2) at the connection between the two said portions and to the outer edge of the front portion being substantially 23-30 cm.
