  • Publication number: 20250108634
Abstract: A method of handling sheets in a printing device including a processing assembly that processes passing sheets by applying a processing parameter that is associated with a media type of each passing sheet, includes determining that a sequence of at least one sheet that is to pass through the processing assembly is to remain blank and that the sequence is preceded or followed by a sheet that is to be printed upon, controlling the processing assembly to apply the processing parameter for the sheet to be printed upon to this sheet to be printed upon during the passage of this sheet through the processing assembly, and for the sequence of at least one sheet that is to remain blank, controlling the processing assembly to ignore the processing parameter during the passage of the sequence through the processing assembly.

  • Patent number: 10077162
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for ejecting a stack of sheets from an output holder attached to a printing device, the output holder configured to hold a stack of sheets printed upon by the printing device according to a plurality of print jobs submitted to the printing device, the printing device comprising a control unit for controlling the receiving of the plurality of print jobs in a print job queue and the printing of the plurality of print jobs according to the print job queue, the method comprising the steps of receiving a trigger comprising information for an ejection of the stack for another reason than a full output holder, the stack ejection to be performed before the start of the printing of a print job residing in the print job queue or after the print job residing in the print job queue has been printed, and entering a task for the ejection of the stack at a position in the print job queue, the position determining an intended moment in time of the ejection of the stack corresponding to the i

  • Patent number: 7710940
Abstract: Method for synchronising mobile equipment in a CDMA system comprising a plurality of base stations (11) for communicating with the mobile equipment (12). The base stations (11) are mutually synchronised, and each base station (11) has a synchronisation channel transmit timing offset within a synchronisation time slot (20). The method comprises the step of synchronising the mobile equipment (12) by matching a synchronisation code in the synchronisation time slot (20). Also the following steps are executed by the method: scanning a base radio signal (13) during at least one frame (15) for detecting a signal portion with predetermined characteristics, such as received power peaks (23), the signal portion not being the synchronisation code; deriving timing information associated with the CDMA system from the signal portion; and starting the synchronisation step of the mobile equipment (12) using the timing information.

  • Publication number: 20030026363
Abstract: An adaptive automatic gain control loop in a radio receiver includes an amplifier with an adjustable gain to variably increase or decrease the signal level of the received signal. Plural data blocks are received, with each data block potentially having a different signal level when received. Before or at the very beginning when substantive data in a data block are processed in the amplifier, the gain of that amplifier is rapidly adjusted or preset to a predetermined signal level for that data block. By adapting the gain of the amplifier before or just as the data in the block are processed by the amplifier to an appropriate level, the received signal can be adjusted to a desired dynamic range. For example, by adapting the received signal level to the dynamic range of an analog-to-digital converter of a receiver, e.g., a UTRA/TDD or TD-SCDMA receiver, the bit error rate at the start of the data block is decreased.
