  • Patent number: 11802936
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for determining a position of a first device with respect to a second device. According to the method, control data indicative of a receive property of at least one signal received from the first device (110) by a second device (121-124) using a plurality of receiver chains (210-215) is established. At least one receive characteristic of the plurality of receiver chains (210-215) differs for at least two receiver chains of the plurality of receiver chains (210-215). Based on the control data, positioning information for the first device (110) is determined.

  • Publication number: 20230343197
Abstract: A method of determining an appropriate tracking device response scheme includes obtaining, from a tracking device, a tracking parameter indicative of the tracking device being within a vicinity of the user equipment. The method determines, based on the tracking parameter, a verification parameter indicative of an identity associated with the user equipment. The method determines whether the verification parameter meets a verification criterion indicative of a stalker tracking device. In accordance with a determination that the verification parameter meets the verification criterion, the method applies a stalker response scheme.

  • Patent number: 11798293
Abstract: A device, system and method for determining a position of a movable object on a two-dimensional surface obtains, via an image capture device attached to the movable object, at least one image of a portion of the two-dimensional surface. At one virtual marker is identified in at least one image, and a previously determined estimated position of the at least one virtual marker is retrieved. The previously determined estimated position determined from a combination of an image of at least one anchor point on the two-dimensional surface, the at least one anchor point defining a unique position on the two-dimensional surface, and odometry measurements based on at least two images of the two-dimensional surface. The position of the movable object on the two-dimensional surface is determined from the estimated position of the at least one virtual marker.

  • Patent number: 10983189
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for determining a position of a terminal device (110) in a wireless communication system (100). According to the method, a first message (130-133) is broadcasted by the terminal device (110). The first message (130-133) comprises a positioning request and a terminal identifier identifying the terminal device (110). The first message (130-133) is received at a group of neighboring devices (120-123). Each neighboring device of the group of neighboring devices (120-123) is located within a wireless radio communication range of the terminal device (110). From one or more neighboring devices (120, 121) of the group of neighboring devices (120-123) a corresponding second message (140, 141) is transmitted to location server (103) of the wireless communication system (100). The second message (140, 141) comprises the terminal identifier and an indication that the terminal device (110) requested a positioning.

  • Patent number: 10986603
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for clustering transportation units in a distribution chain. The method makes use of the situation where many transportation units, such as IoT devices, are loaded in a confined space in which the transportation units have different or limited connectivity capabilities depending on radio environment and possibly also on device hardware capabilities. The method comprising respective transportation unit; sharing its identity; receiving and storing the identity of at least one other transportation unit; transmitting its identity and the stored identity of the at least one other transportation unit to an external processing unit; and clustering, at the external processing unit, the transportation units based on the transmitted identities. The disclosure also relates to a transportation unit and to computer program products.

  • Publication number: 20210048503
Abstract: An object position is estimated on the basis of at least one positioning signal (PBS) from a transmitter on an object (30). Motion data from a sensor on the object (30) are used as a basis for determining a processing time window. Processing of the at least one positioning signal (PBS) and/or positioning data (PD) derived from the at least one positioning signal is accomplished based on the determined processing time window. The transmitter and the sensor may be integrated in a tag device (10) attached to the object (30).

  • Patent number: 10198604
Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting unauthorized tags are provided. A tag transmission report is received from a tag reader that receives wireless transmissions from a plurality of tags. A tag ID is determined for each tag of the plurality of tags in the tag transmission report. The determined tag IDs are compared to association information indicating associations between tag IDs. A notification is generated responsive to a comparison indicating that ones of the plurality of tags are not associated with other tags of the plurality of tags.

  • Patent number: 9781571
Abstract: Systems and methods of registration of an anonymous tag having an owner with a location service include authenticating a tag sensor associated with the owner of the tag with the location service. The tag is placed within a defined transmission distance of the tag from the tag sensor associated with the owner. The tag is activated while it is within the defined distance from the tag sensor to initiate transmission of the self identification. The transmitted self identification is received at the tag sensor to detect the tag. It is determined that the detected tag is not yet registered with the location service and an identification of the tag and the owner is transmitted to the location service from the tag sensor to register the tag as belonging to the owner at the location service to limit registration of the tag at the location service.

  • Patent number: 9436308
Abstract: Data for detected events and predicted events, associated with a user device, are stored. The detected events may be associated with inputs received via the user device, and the predicted events may represent predicted future inputs to the user device. The predicted events may be evaluated to identify an erroneous predicted event, such as a predicted event that differs significantly from a corresponding detected event or a predicted associated with a time period when no corresponding detected event occurs. The erroneous predicted events and set of other prior predicted events are selected to be discarded. For example, the selected set of prior predicted events to discard may be associated with a period of time corresponding to the erroneous predicted event. Instructions may be sent to applications executed by the user device to disregard the selected predicted events.
