    Abstract: An antenna device for portable communication equipment and including an extendable elongated antenna element which at its lower part includes first and second contact surfaces and which is slidable inside a casing between an extended position and a retracted position. The first and second contact surfaces are arranged for engagement with an inner surface of the casing, and a third contact surface is arranged for engagement with the elongated antenna element. The contact surfaces are arranged so as to create a spring force in the elongated antenna element so as to achieve mechanical locking in the extended position.
