  • Patent number: 11313767
Abstract: A motorcycle test stand comprises at least one dynamometer configured and arranged to be connected to a drivetrain of a motorcycle to be tested, and a receptacle configured and arranged for receiving a motorcycle frame, and a base fixing the dynamometer and the receptacle relative to one another. The receptable has first and second connecting points configured and arranged to be coupled to the motorcycle frame.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 19, 2018
Date of Patent: April 26, 2022
    Assignee: AVL List GmbH
    Inventors: Hannes Gruber, Johann Eitzinger
  • Patent number: 10816096
Abstract: To achieve a compactly designed, simple and robust control valve for a hydrodynamic torque generator which is linear over a wide adjustment range, the control channel (12) of the control valve is formed in such a way that a substantially linear relationship between valve position (?) and flow ({dot over (V)}) is achieved by rotating the valve body (6) between a first valve position (?1), which differs from the closed position, and a second valve position (?2) with a larger flow ({dot over (V)}) than in the first position (?1).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 3, 2015
Date of Patent: October 27, 2020
    Assignee: AVL List GmbH

  • Patent number: 8413498
Abstract: A tire test system for tire tests under the most realistic conditions possible, however, including the possibility of widely-varied, simple and precisely reproducible parameters includes a track (6) contactable by at least one tire, as well as a positive guide (5) following this track, for example, in the form of at least one rail. In addition, a test trolley (2) is provided that is guided by a positive guide (5) and is autonomously driven and/or brakable independently of the tire(s), on which trolley at least one tire (1) is mountable, and which has equipment for driving and/or braking autonomously and independently of the test trolley (2).

  • Patent number: 5656768
Abstract: For largely automatic determination of the moment of inertia of, in particular, an internal combustion engine on a testing stand, speed n and indicated torque M.sub.M are measured under controlled operating conditions in both a run-up phase as well as in a coasting phase. In order to eliminate the loss moment in the determination of the moment of inertia, the measuring points of the respectively same speed from the run-up phase and the coasting phase are interpreted in combination, this enabling an exact determination of the moment of inertia in a very simple way with the devices that are usually already present at a testing stand.
