The stock includes an articulated trapezoid or parallelogram-shaped structure that includes two blocks respectively forming a rest interface with the body of the weapon and a support for a butt plate, and at least two rigid linking arms, each jointed, at one of its ends, by a pivot link with the rest interface with the body of the weapon and at the other of its ends by a pivot link with the support of the butt plate. The weapon includes at least one locking structure for locking the arms together, in at least one fixed position defining a desired height of the butt plate with respect to the rest interface.
