  • Publication number: 20220297661
Abstract: A method for monitoring the release behavior of an electromechanical wheel brake of a vehicle, the wheel brake having at least one electrically controllable force actuator configured to apply a brake-application force to friction partners of the wheel brake. comprises activating the force actuator in accordance with a defined control pattern which is dependent on a present operating state of the wheel brake, a present operating state of further wheel brakes of the vehicle, and/or a present operating state of the vehicle. The activation of the force actuator is interrupted at a defined point in time. The operating parameters of the wheel brake are monitored for a defined period of time after the interruption of the activation. The release behavior of the wheel brake is determined by ascertaining a reaction of the force actuator to the interruption of the activation on the basis of the ascertained operating parameters.

  • Publication number: 20180037056
Abstract: A vehicle wheel system for motor vehicles includes a central wheel disc having an attachment flange for arrangement on a chassis component, and having a brake rotor which is provided coaxially with respect to a central rotational axis Ax and whose external circumference is secured to the wheel disc but is otherwise freely oriented in the radially inward direction. An aspect is a vehicle wheel system which is of lightweight construction and easy to maintain. The aspect is based on the brake rotor being secured in an exchangeable fashion by a plurality of support sections at its outer circumference with a detachable attachment and, for the purpose of conducting away heat, is secured in a thermally conductive fashion to a plurality of abutment sections on the circumference of the wheel disc, with the result that overall a modular design (MAB) is obtained.

  • Patent number: 9145121
Abstract: A method for monitoring a brake system for motor vehicles. The system can be actuated both by a vehicle driver and independently of the vehicle driver in what is known as a brake-by-wire mode. The hydraulic actuation device can be actuated by means of a brake pedal and has a main brake cylinder to which wheel brakes are connected, at least two brake circuits, a simulation device, which comprises at least one elastic element and gives the vehicle driver a comfortable pedal feeling, an electrically controllable pressure-providing device, which is formed by a cylinder/piston assembly, the piston of which can be actuated by an electromagnetic actuator, wherein the first measurement variable (PDBE) characterizing a position of the piston is detected. The detected measurement value of the first and second measurement variable (SDBE, PDBE) are compared to a predetermined characteristic map of the first and second measurement variables in order to monitor a functional status of the brake system.
