  • Patent number: 10232380
Abstract: A comminution device can include a crushing body extraction mechanism. The crushing body extraction mechanism can be configured to permit one or more crushing bodies (e.g. rollers of a roller press, etc.) to be continuously moved linearly away from a frame to expose the crushing bodies from the frame. In some embodiments, the extraction mechanism may be configured to utilize one or more rack and pinion mechanisms. The pinion for each such mechanism may be powered by one or more rotary motors or other type of rotary drive mechanism. In other embodiments, the extraction mechanism can include one or more rack and ratchet mechanisms. • Patent number: 9770718
Abstract: A roller mill for crushing brittle material has two grinding rollers forming a grinding gap, and provides a delivery chute for feeding the material to the grinding gap. In the delivery chute at least one distributor device is arranged above a middle region of the grinding gap and extends above the grinding gap transversely to the longitudinal extent of the grinding gap and covers from 5 to 70% of the cross-section of the delivery chute. The material is delivered to the delivery chute and is crushed in the grinding gap, wherein the material is introduced into the delivery chute or is deflected in the delivery chute in such a manner that, based on the longitudinal extent of the grinding gap, coarser material accumulates in a middle region of the grinding gap than in the edge regions.

  • Patent number: 8316543
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for reconditioning a used grinding roller of a material bed roller mill having profile-members which are embedded, with a portion of the length thereof, in holes of the roller body and, with the remainder of the length thereof, project above the surface of the roller body. For the reconditioning operation, after the worn profile-members are removed, the worn surface of the roller body is turned, and a material layer is applied in a welding operation and is provided with holes for receiving new profile-members. Such a method allows particularly cost-effective reconditioning.

  • Patent number: 7946518
Abstract: The invention relates to a milling roller of a high-pressure material bed roller mill, having profile-members which are embedded with a portion of the length thereof in holes of the roller body and, with the remainder of the length thereof, protrude above the surface of the roller body, with, when the milling roller is new, the holes having different depths and the profile-members having different lengths in differently loaded part-regions of the width of the roller body. • Publication number: 20090178280
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for reconditioning a used grinding roll of a high-pressure bed grinding mill. In said method, the surface of the rolling body is turned by a certain degree after removing the worn profiled members, whereupon the existing bores can be deepened to a depth that is sufficient for receiving new profiled members or new bores can be created according to a new bore pattern. New profiled members are then inserted into the bores. The inventive method allows a used grinding roll to be reconditioned in a particularly time-saving manner while economizing material.

  • Patent number: 5985221
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of recovering precious metals from oxidic or refractory or semi-refractory ore material containing precious metal. This recovery of precious metal takes place with optimal comminution work and with more efficient and more reliable leaching also of non-oxidic ore material in such a way that the ore material is subjected to material bed comminution in the grinding gap between two rollers which are pressed against one another under high pressure and revolve in opposite directions and afterwards the comminuted ore material is preferably leached using a stirring movement in a container.

  • Patent number: 5897063
Abstract: In this method of comminution according to the invention, pre-comminuted ore material is subjected to material bed comminution in a material bed roll mill. In order to achieve optimal comminution even of very different ore materials with a high throughput the ore material is pre-comminuted in an autogenous mill, whereupon at least fractions of fine material are separated out of the pre-comminuted material before the rest of the material is further comminuted in the material bed comminution.

  • Patent number: 5642863
Abstract: In this method according to the invention for extracting metals, starting ore material is subjected to material bed comminution and then leached by the addition of leaching fluid. In order to be able to ensure an optimal yield of metals even in the case of greatly differing particles sizes of the comminuted ore material, the comminuted ore material is divided into oversize material and fine material, whereupon oversize material is delivered to a heap leaching and fine material to a tank leaching.

  • Patent number: 5522557
Abstract: A roll mill has a fixed roll journalled in stationary fixed bearings and a floating roll journalled in movable bearings enabling the floating roll to be pressed against the fixed roll under high pressure. An adjustable spacing arrangement is provided between the two bearings to enable a gap of selected width to be formed between the rolls. The spacing arrangement includes a pair of shaft-like distance members received and guided in associated bores of the fixed bearings for movement therealong. Free ends of the distance members extend outward of their bores and engage the opposing floating bearings to adjust the positions of the rolls as they wear so as to maintain the selected gap width. The free ends are retractable into the bores to allow the bearings to abut one another and thereby optimize the wear life of the rolls.
