  • Publication number: 20240041426
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus, method and system for detecting and locating dental cavitations in jawbones using Through-Transmission Alveolar Ultrasonography (TAU). The apparatus comprises a measuring unit comprising an ultrasonic transducer and a round ultrasonic receiver. The apparatus is a handhold and is configured to define the geometric position of the ultrasonic transducer and the ultrasonic receiver with respect to each other so as to achieve a high-resolution ultrasound image of the jawbone with minimal errors and in order to improve diagnosis of dental cavitations.

  • Publication number: 20220183658
Abstract: The invention relates to a molded gel body (1), the production thereof and the use thereof in ultrasonography in the medical or dental field. In particular, the molded gel body (1) is used to detect and localize dental cavities in the jawbone by means of through-transmission alveolar ultrasonography (TAU). The molded gel body (1) has a receptacle (2) for receiving an ultrasound transmitter and/or receiver (7). The molded gel body (1) and the receptacle (2) are preferably adapted to the shape of the ultrasound transmitter and/or receiver. For easier handling, the molded gel body (1) is inserted into a flexible, biocompatible protective cover (6) which, like the receptacle (2), can be filled with a non-dimensionally stable ultrasound gel.

  • Patent number: 6039254
Abstract: The method is for use in a bar code reader. By means of a special illumination of the bar code applied to a reflecting surface/wafer and special receiver optics, bright-field illumination is implemented. Optimum contrasts between the images of the marking elements and the surrounding reflecting areas offer a high recognition reliability.

  • Patent number: 4715571
Abstract: A plurality of electrical conductors or cables are held in place by a cirar member, such as a ring or disk, or by two ring or disk elements forming a pair, to form a conductor or cable bunch. For this purpose a plurality of recesses are provided in the circumferential zone of the ring or disk, for holding a conductor or cable in place in each recess. The recesses in the ring or disk are closed by a rim section. The ring or disk elements have recess forming fingers or pieces which can be rotated into preliminary and final positions with an increased clamping force in the final position. In all embodiments the cable or conductors are held in place by a proper biasing force. The costs for forming cable or conductor bunches and for their final installation have been substantially reduced.
