    Abstract: A roller, especially for roller conveyors of transport and/or logic systems, includes an integrated sensor system. The roller can be embodied as a passive roller and/or as a drive roller. The roller can also be provided with an integrated drive system and/or integrated information processing units. A positive fit between the roller and a support structure is provided by at least one polygonal profiled section on the end of the roller. Contacts to the lines for the power supply and the data bus are advantageously produced with penetration clips.
