  • Patent number: 11920071
Abstract: A luminophore having the general empirical formula X?1?xA?y(Al1+zA?3?z)O4:E? that crystallizes in a tetragonal crystal system. X? may be Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, and combinations thereof; A? may be Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs, and combinations thereof; E? may be Eu, Ce, Yb, Mn, and combinations thereof; 0<x<0.25; y?x; and z=0.5(2x?y).

  • Publication number: 20230265473
Abstract: Genetically modified microorganism strains for the fermentative production of cysteine provide higher yields of L-cysteine or L-cystine during fermentation. Cysteine production is improved in the genetically modified microorganism strains by attenuating or inactivating phosphoenolpyruvate synthase enzyme activity, alone or in combination with the overexpression of efflux proteins and proteins that reduce feedback inhibition by cysteine and by serine.

  • Publication number: 20220062193
Abstract: A method of delivering an active compound includes providing a delivery device having a first portion. The first portion defines a first outer surface of the device. An active compound is provided in the first portion. The first outer surface exhibits a first tack after providing the active compound and a second tack of at least 25 percent the first tack after delivering the active compound to the first outer surface.

  • Publication number: 20210269843
Abstract: A bacterial strain suitable for expressing recombinant proteins contains an open reading frame which codes for a recombinant protein, under control of a functional promoter. The bacterial strain contains an open reading frame which codes for a muted peptidologycan-associated lipoprotein (PAL protein), under control of a functional promoter, wherein the PAL protein is muted such that it contains no membrane anchor for the outer cell membrane of the bacterial strain. A plasmid codes for a recombinant protein. Fermentative production of recombinant protein is facilitated by using the bacterial strain, with increased product yields in the culture residue without leading to a substantial die-off of the bacterial cells.

  • Publication number: 20210146522
Abstract: A working apparatus has a manual operating region, a tubular part extending away from the manual operating region, and an electric cable arrangement in the tubular part. The working apparatus includes a rod-shaped cable holder, which is inserted into and held in the tubular part and has a cable holding arrangement, by which the cable arrangement is held in a pre-mounted manner on the cable holder. An assembly method secures the cable arrangement on the cable holder by the cable holding arrangement, and inserts the cable holder, with the cable arrangement held thereon, into the tubular part. The working apparatus may be a battery-operated, hand-guided garden or forestry working apparatus.
