Abstract: An (note: an electronic version is not always received. Many times it's traditional hard copy and must be converted to electronic format) traditional architectural plan along with any structural drawings for a structure is received as input. Selected walls of the structure depicted in the architectural plan, such as external walls, are replaced with representations of building panels. Some of the building panel representations (standard building panels) have substantially the same dimensions (i.e., height, width and length), but may be configured with different structural elements including, but not limited to, peripheral frame, window openings, door openings, and electrical components. Some of the building panel representations have dimensions that are customized (customized building panels) and different from the dimensions of a standard panel representation.
