  • Patent number: 11845463
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a device for the improved visualization of a notice in a motor vehicle. A contact-analog head-up display places information in direct contact with the environment. In contrast to conventional head-up displays, the information appears as part of the environment. Some embodiments provide an information container that is placed at a distance x from the vehicle which grows corresponding to the reduction of the distance x, and is placed fixed relative to the environment to produce the effect of a container located in reality. The necessity of an interaction may be communicated by the element remaining stationary. That is, shortly before the position of the information container is reached, it remains immobile in the field of vision and is “pushed” in front of the ego vehicle. This makes it immediately apparent that an operation is needed to acknowledge the pop-up respectively to thereby trigger an action.

  • Patent number: 11762616
Abstract: In a method for operating a driver information system in an ego vehicle, environment data are detected in an environment of the ego vehicle. By using the environment data, it is determined whether a lane change of the ego vehicle from a current lane to an adjacent, additional lane may be safely carried out. A driver information display is generated and output, wherein the driver information display comprises a graphic adjacent lane object that represents the adjacent additional lane. The adjacent lane object has a graphic depiction feature that is generated according to whether the lane change may be safely carried out.

  • Publication number: 20220161657
Abstract: A method for operating a driver information system in an ego-vehicle is disclosed. First environment data are detected in an environment of the ego-vehicle at a first time. At least one further road user is identified based on the detected first environment data. A driver information display is provided, wherein the driver information display comprises a first graphic road user object which is assigned to the further road user. Second environment data are recorded in the environment of the ego-vehicle at a second, later time. Based on the detected second environment data, the further road user is identified again, and a second graphic road user object is formed which replaces the first graphic road user object in the driver information display. In addition, the second graphic road user object has a higher specificity than the first graphic road user object.

  • Publication number: 20220135063
Abstract: A method for operating a driver information system in an ego vehicle is provided, in which a current speed of the ego vehicle and a set parameter of an at least partially automated longitudinal guidance function of a driver assist system are acquired. A driver information display is generated and output, wherein the driver information display comprises a graphic lane object which represents a roadway in front of the ego vehicle. In doing so, a distance scale object and a distance indicator object are arranged in the lane object and are generated depending on the current speed of the ego vehicle. The distance scale object is generated so that positions of the lane object are assigned to distances from the ego vehicle, and the distance indicator object is arranged on the distance scale object such that the set parameter is output.

  • Publication number: 20220105805
Abstract: A head-up display and methods for providing a lane-related visual assistance function with a head-up display for a motor vehicle. Information is obtained regarding a driving lane currently travelled on by a motor vehicle. A characteristic value is obtained, which describes an uncertainty regarding the lane-related display of a virtual object serving as a visual assistance function with the head-up display. At least one virtual object is displayed as a visual assistance function, wherein the object is displayed such that it runs along at least a portion of the lane from the perspective of the driver, wherein a length of the object along the lane is defined according to the magnitude of the characteristic value.
