  • Publication number: 20220145720
Abstract: A mineral extraction system that includes a christmas tree. The christmas tree includes a valve that controls the flow of hydrocarbons through the christmas tree. A subsea control module couples to the christmas tree. The subsea control module controls the valve to control the flow of hydrocarbons through a conduit in the christmas tree. A high integrity pipeline protection system integrated with the subsea control module. The high integrity pipeline protection system includes a first pressure sensor that emits a first signal indicative of pressure in the conduit. A high integrity pipeline protection controller that receives the first signal indicative of the pressure and automatically controls operation of the valve in response to the pressure exceeding a threshold pressure.

  • Patent number: 4686006
Abstract: Apparatus and method for laying down a fibrous web from a foam-fiber furnish. A headbox includes walls defining an elongate channel extending transversely of the direction of movement of the forming wire. Foam-forming nozzles are positioned to introduce foam-fiber furnish into the channel for turbulence - inducing impact on an oppositely disposed wall defining the channel. The turbulently flowing foam-fiber furnish is then introduced to the headbox slice for discharge onto the forming wire with minimized MD orientation of the fibers.

  • Patent number: 4612231
Abstract: A method of improving absorbency of air laid bonded fibrous webs and the products resulting therefrom, the preferred method comprising the step of imprinting at least one surface of the fibrous web between a pair of cylindrical rolls under a pressure of at least 100 pounds/lineal inch, the compacted area of each imprinted web surface being at least 40%, preferably at least 50%, of the total imprinted surface. In the preferred embodiment of the method, the fibrous web is first wetted with water, the imprinting step then being conducted with imprinting means heated to about 140.degree. to about 180.degree. C.The products obtained have densified zones underlying the compacted areas, the density thereof being at least 0.1 gm./cc., which zones enhance absorbency as compared to unimprinted webs by at least 25%. The preferred webs provided by the method are imprinted with a grid-like pattern, said pattern preventing nesting of individual sheets in product rolls and containers.
