At least in an overpressed closed position (US), the spring forces (A, U) are together greater than the closing force (Z) which acts on the flap and which is provided by the main spring acting in the closing direction (SR).

The unit includes a housing having a connection means for removably coupling the unit to a light input post or the like of the instrument and a light emitting diode (LED) powered by at least one battery mounted within the housing. The unit also includes means for controlling or dissipating heat generated by operation of the LED.
