  • Patent number: 5125785
Abstract: A device for discharging a container of the type which has a cylindrical load storage compartment. The device is in the form of a plunger which has a discharge passage opening therethrough. A conduit is connected to the discharge passage and a driving mechanism is provided for moving the plunger relative to the container so that the contents of the container are compressed between the plunger and the container and are expelled from the container through the discharge passage and through the conduit.

  • Patent number: 4993110
Abstract: A device for boning pieces of meat, such as shoulders, hams and the like, which device consists substantially of at least one set of first and second matrices (3, 4) with separating means to be carried towards one another for separating the meat from the piece of bone and a replaceable stamp (5, 6) arranged in one of each matrix, of which the elongate, if necessary folding pressure surface coming into contact with the piece of bone displays a relief, wherein in cross section the relief of the pressure surface is raised at least along the edge zones thereof, and the raising increases in those cross sections at the edge portions having a comparatively small radius of curvature, so ensuring that during pressing the piece of bone remains enclosed an even undergoes a pressure force directed lengthwise of the piece of bone.

  • Patent number: 4924771
Abstract: The device consists substantially of a support for the meat, a holder in which hollow needles are mounted. Each of the needles communicates with an individual dosing chamber which is connected to a common supply conduit for a fluid such as a liquid or a pasty substance or the like which is to be injected into the meat. The device has a dosing chamber in the form of a cylinder which has a movable piston therein for obtaining a constant stroke volume. A driving device is arranged for bringing about relative movement between the piston and the cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4862558
Abstract: A method and device for boning meat portions, making use of two opposite pressing elements adapted to be moved to and from each other, wherein each pressing element comprising a recess provided with inserts, along the borderline of the recess each pressing element is provided with means to separate the meat material from the bone or bones, said separating means are following substantially the contour of the bones in the meat portion, for instance the front leg or shoulder portion of a pig, said recess in at least one of the pressing elements is provided with means for locking up or pressing the or each bone piece in length-wise direction thereof and at least one of the pressing elements is provided with gripper members for gripping at least one ridge of a bone; as a result the bone is held firmly in place in a well positioned manner during the meat extracting operation.

  • Patent number: 4784055
Abstract: This invention relates to an apparatus for injecting a fluid substance into a portion of meat. In particular, this invention relates to an apparatus for injecting a fluid substance having a paste-like consistency through needles into a portion of meat wherein a uniform dose of fluid is injected through each needle.

  • Patent number: 4663804
Abstract: A de-boning machine comprises a pair of dies which are adapted to close around a meat portion in which a bone is located such that the meat is displaced laterally from the bone in response to closing of the dies while the bone remains in tact. The dies preferably have opposite disposed de-boning faces in which a bone locating recess is formed. To reduce the likelihood of damage to the bone resulting from closing of the dies, the bone receiving recess is filled with a resiliently deformable material such as a food grade rubber. In order to separate the meat which has been laterally displaced from the bone, a cutter is provided laterally outwardly from the bone receiving recess, the cutter being operable upon final closing of the dies.

  • Patent number: 4649600
Abstract: A device for boning meat such as shoulder or rib or beef, legs of fowl or the like, said device mainly comprising a frame, a cutting element (4) arranged in said frame (4) and having a cutting edge (5) being continuous and similar to the shape of bone in the piece of meat, a counter element (3) arranged in the frame and driving means for moving the cutting element and the counter-element towards and away from one another, wherein the cutting and/or counter element (3, 4) is (are) provided within the space bounded by the cutting edge (5) with one or more arresting members (9) projecting towards the other element, so closing the space between the two elements at the critical places where sinews and/or membranes are present on the bone before the cutting operation proper takes place, and wherein and undeformable bridge piece (43) fitting in the cavity is provided on each of two yielding supporting members in order to prevent that due to the high pressure the piece of bone may break down so that bone splinters mi
