  • Patent number: 6783451
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and apparatus for removing faecal matter from slaughtered poultry suspended by the legs, wherein the poultry, after having been cut for bleeding, is scalded to soften the feathers of the poultry, and after having been scalded is plucked and eviscerated to provide fresh defeathered slaughtered poultry, wherein also the removal of faecal matter takes place by prior to evisceration removing not yet unloaded faecal matter from the poultry by applying a pressure load to the abdominal cavity of the poultry, and simultaneously or subsequently spraying away the faecal matter squeezed out of the poultry with water and/or air.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 15, 2002
Date of Patent: August 31, 2004
    Assignee: Meyn Food Processing Technology
Inventors: Leendert Aandewiel, Simon Bakker, Jacob Jan Van Craaikamp, Wilhelmus Johannes Casper Heemskerk, Antonius Jozef Veraart

  • Patent number: 5161138
Abstract: An arrangement for removing a disk-shaped recorded medium from compartments of a magazine, in which a member is movable up and down along a side of the magazine from which the disk-shaped recorded medium is to be removed. The movable member is driven only on a first side thereof. A spring supports the movable member only on a second side which lies opposite to the first side of the movable member. The spring is in the form of a torsion spring with a long arm, and has a resiliency that is independent of the distance traveled by the spring within its range of travel. The long arm on the torsion spring is used to support the movable member. A pin on the movable member rests against the end of the long spring arm.

  • Patent number: 5127716
Abstract: A compact disc player arrangement in which compact discs are stored in a magazine housing. One above another in a stack. The magazine housing may be removed for the purpose of loading with compact discs, and this magazine housing is replaceable in the compact disc player after having been loaded. A slidable drawer that is movable into and out of the housing forms a single component or unit with the housing. A selected compact disc that is different from the disc stored in the magazine housing, may be held in the slidable drawer and played in any selected sequence, independent of the discs stored in the magazine housing. The arrangement allows compact disc players to be extended from the use of only one-disc-at-a-time devices.

  • Patent number: 5109372
Abstract: An arrangement for loading record discs of different diameters for selectively recording and playback purposes. A fixed base member is provided with a depression that has a rim corresponding to a record disc of larger diameter. This rim protects the record disc against displacement. The depression has a central region with a recess which holds a raisable and lowerable rest. Three supports are mounted on the rest and are positioned on a circle which has a diameter that corresponds to the diameter of the smaller disc. The three supports secure the smaller record disc against displacement while, at the time, they serve for supporting the larger record disk. The smaller disc and the larger disc are both brought into an operating position on the base member by the raisable and lowerable rest. This base member is, at the same time, free of guide tracks. The raisable and lowerable rest is disc-shaped, and is held by a pivotable arm.

  • Patent number: 5034937
Abstract: A record player in which a magazine is provided with compartments for storing a number of rigid and flexible disk-shaped recording media. For playing the disks, they are removed only to an extent necessary for the disk drive to engage bores of the disk. Each compartment has a bottom with a semi-circular recess at a side of the magazine from which the recording media are removed for being played. This recess has a diameter that is substantially longer than the diameter of the respective disk to be played, so that the disk can rotate freely while being played. Each compartment, furthermore, as a storage recess above the semi-circular recess for storing the disk. To play the disk, the latter is lowered from the storage recess into the semi-circular recess, but the lowering of the disk is such that the disk will not contact the bottom of the semi-circular recess, so as to allow free rotation of the disk within the semi-circular recess.

  • Patent number: 4767105
Abstract: An elastic foot for apparatus of consumer electronics, preferably a compact disc player, in which a rubber spherical part is provided with a convex cross-section and with a height which decreases under the weight of a load. In order to maintain the resonance frequency constant even when the foot is subjected to high weight of a series of stacked equipment units on the compact disc player, a protuberance formed inside the rubber part provides for an additional elasticity when the load exceeds a predetermined threshold value.
