  • Publication number: 20220286364
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and computer-readable media for training and implementing network behavior model on a network simulator to accurately predict delays in communications transmitted between a sender and receiver of a communication network. For example, systems disclosed herein involve training a network behavior model to determine various behavior parameters that may be used to configure a network simulator trained to emulate certain network behaviors while simulating a network path between a sender and receiver. The systems disclosed herein further involve implementing the network simulator to predict delays that accurately represent real-life conditions of the communication network in an effort to accurately predict delays in communications.

  • Publication number: 20210363024
Abstract: In a method for producing porous composite bodies, which have a support structure made of a material having good thermal conductivity and which have at least one functional material, a multiplicity of shaped bodies (1) made of the functional material are coated with the material having good thermal conductivity and a solid connection between the coated shaped bodies (1) is established in order to form the support structure made of the material having good thermal conductivity. The coating (2) is generated with a porous structure or is provided with a porous structure, which, after the solid connection has been established, permits access for a liquid or gaseous medium through the coating to the functional material. The method permits cost-effective production of porous composite bodies with very good heat transfer properties.

  • Patent number: 10417612
Abstract: Systems, methods, and software are disclosed herein for implementing enhanced search environments. In one implementation, an enhanced service environment includes a working set service that receives event signals initiated by working set agents in various application services. The working set agents communicate the event signals to nominate events occurring in the application services for inclusion in a working set of information specific to a user. The nominations may be based at least in part on a working set model specific to the user. In response to receiving the event signals, the working set service determines which of the events qualify for inclusion in the working set of information based at least in part on the working set model. For each event that qualifies for inclusion, the working set is modified to include at least the event.

  • Patent number: 6575132
Abstract: In a direct injection internal combustion engine with a combustion chamber which is delimited in each cylinder by a longitudinally movable piston and by the inner wall of a cylinder head, an injector injects fuel into the combustion chamber in order to form an ignitable fuel/air mixture with combustion air that is supplied separately, the mixture being ignited by a spark plug. The fuel is injected in a conical shape and the electrodes are protected from being wetted by fuel and from coking if they are located outside the lateral surface of the cone of fuel produced by the injection nozzle.

  • Patent number: 6543408
Abstract: In internal combustion engines with direct fuel injection an injector injects fuel into the combustion chamber to form an ignitable fuel/air mixture with separately supplied combustion air, with the mixture to be ignited by a spark plug. The fuel is injected in a cone shape and the electrodes are protected from being wetted with fuel and coking if they are disposed outside the lateral surface of the conical fuel jet generated by the injection nozzle. In order to bring ignitable mixture between the electrodes and to ensure optimal operating behavior of the internal combustion engine by improving the combustion sequence, a combustion chamber configuration is provided such that the conical fuel jet is injected in a free jet which is substantially uninfluenced by the combustion chamber perimeter, and the electrodes of the spark plug project into a fuel vortex extending from the lateral surface during injection.

  • Patent number: 6467453
Abstract: In a method for forming the mixture in a combustion space of an internal combustion engine, fuel is injected into the combustion space with a varying fuel mass flow during an operational cycle of the internal combustion engine. In one embodiment at least under certain engine operating conditions, three-stage fuel injection is carried out during the compression phase so that a main fuel quantity is injected in a first injection step, an additional fuel quantity with a reduced fuel mass flow is injected in a second injection step and an ignition fuel quantity is injected in a third injection step. In another embodiment, a fuel quantity is injected with a fuel mass flow which is reduced so that it falls steadily from a maximum initial value down to zero and, in accordance with a third method, a fuel quantity is injected during the induction phase with a fuel mass flow which is, at least at times, proportional to the air mass flow.

  • Patent number: 6425762
Abstract: A cosimulation system formed from a hierarchy of simulation objects. Each simulation object, other than the root object, is coupled to a respective parent simulation object by a respective, individual parent-child binding. Each parent-child binding defines a source in the respective parent simulation object for each input signal associated with the respective child simulation object, and also specifies a destination in the parent simulation object for each output signal generated by the child simulation object. Synchronization of simulation objects is handled on an individual parent-child basis, rather than a global basis. Each of the simulation objects has an interface for communicating with its respective children and parent simulation objects. These interfaces all use the same predefined protocol, and send messages to each other via a common protocol communications medium.
