Abstract: A device for separating interconnected transport boats that are movable in a first plane in an intended direction of motion includes a substantially oval, non-circular separation disk aligned parallel to the first plane and connected to a rotary drive and a lifting device via a drive shaft. The separation disk is movable by means of the lifting device in the direction of the transport boats to be separated in order to engage with a corresponding total recess in the transport boats to be separated. In addition, the separation disk is rotatably movable in, and/or parallel to, the first plane by means of the rotary drive in order to separate the transport boats to be separated from each other by rotating the separation disk.

Abstract: A device for detecting transport boats includes a contact element for contacting a transport boat, and a connecting element spring mounted in a housing of the device, biased into an initial position and linearly displaceably guided via a guide of the housing. The contact element is connected to the spring mounted connecting element and is displaceable together therewith in such a way that contact of the transport boat with the contact element causes deflection of the connecting element against the bias from the initial position into a detection position. The device further includes a detection device adapted to detect reaching of the detection position by the connecting element.

Abstract: The decontamination of contaminated graphite, in particularly of irradiated graphite. According to the present invention, this means a method of separating volatile radionuclides from contaminated graphite and transforming the graphite together with non-volatile radionuclides into a form which is suitable for final disposal. The method according to the present invention comprises the step of heating up the contaminated graphite for obtaining treated graphite, a step of compacting the treated graphite for obtaining a molded body and optionally a step of embedding the treated graphite in a matrix material for obtaining a sheathed molded body. The molded body comprising the treated graphite can be finally disposed and stored under low safety requirements depending on the country-specific requirements.
