Abstract: The invention relates to an input and output device (1) for inputting or outputting data of an electronic equipment (25), wherein the input and output device (1) is designed for being detachably mounted to the electronic equipment (25) in at least two different positions. The input and output device (1) features a first contacting means (19) which, independent of the selected position in the mounted state of the input and output device (1) on the electronic equipment (25), electrically comes in connection with a second contacting means (41) present on the electronic equipment (26). Moreover, the invention relates to an operating and display module, as well as to a combination of an electronic equipment and an input and output device that can be detachably mounted thereto.
