  • Patent number: 10983169
Abstract: The invention relates to a cycle test method for at least one rechargeable battery (1) having, in particular, a single-battery emergency lamp (2) as a load, wherein the battery (1) is connected to a supply device (3) for charging/discharging at the location of use, comprising the following steps: i) charging the battery (1) by means of the supply device (3); ii) interrupting the charging for a time, in particular a specified time, in order to lower the temperature of the battery (1); iii) discharging the battery (1) to a specified remaining voltage value; and iv) performing steps i) to iii) multiple times.

  • Patent number: 10154563
Abstract: Electronic ballast for controlling at least one load, for example a lamp such as an LED, a fluorescent lamp, a gas discharge lamp or the like, comprising at least one resonant converter for generating a start and/or operating voltage from a rectified mains voltage of a mains voltage supply and comprising a mains rectifier for rectifying the mains voltage, where the electronic ballast has an electronic switching device that switches off the mains voltage supply in the event of emergency lighting, an emergency voltage can be fed into the electronic ballast, and different voltages can be determined and/or operating frequencies of the electronic ballast can be adjusted by way of an intermediate voltage circuit and/or an operating frequency circuit.

  • Patent number: 7723954
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for supplying at least one load consumer during a mains failure. According to said method, a plurality of batteries acts as an emergency voltage source during the failure of a mains voltage source in order to supply the load consumer(s). The plurality of batteries is connected to the mains voltage source. The batteries are interconnected in series in order to form the emergency supply for the load consumer. To permit a simple, cost-effective emergency supply with a reliable charging of the batteries, the plurality of series-connected batteries is sub-divided into at least two battery groups using a splitter circuit and each of said battery groups is connected to the mains voltage source for charging purposes by means of a corresponding connection circuit.
