  • Publication number: 20230271600
Abstract: A method is provided for operating a drive train comprising an internal combustion engine or an electric machine as a primary drive and an electric machine as a secondary drive, wherein the electric machine is detachably coupled, together with an inverter and controller, on one of the vehicle axles. The electric machine and at least one switchable element is actuated in order to minimize drag losses of the electric machine and to provide a defined connection time for the electric machine. The electric machine is stationary and decoupled during a first speed range. The electric machine is actuated at a preset speed during a second speed range, where a defined connection time is not possible if the electric machine were stationary. The electric machine is coupled to the axle and rotates at the vehicle speed in the third range, when losses while coupled are lower than if uncoupled.

  • Patent number: 8977309
Abstract: The present disclosure provides an antenna array (1) for relaying radio signals into a cell (10) of a communication network (500). The antenna array (1) comprises a plurality of uplink beam forming vectors (20u) selectable as an uplink beam shape for an uplink relaying and a plurality of downlink beam forming vectors (20d) selectable as a down link beam shape for a down link relaying. The plurality of uplink beam forming vectors (20u) and/or the plurality of the downlink beam forming vectors (20d) may be adjusted at a digital radio interface and forwarded from the digital radio interface to the antenna array (1). An individual one (22u) of the plurality of uplink beam forming vectors (20u) and an individual one (22d) of the plurality of downlink beam forming vectors (20d) are independently selectable using a local knowledge (60) about the cell 10. The present disclosure further provides a communication network (500) comprising a plurality of the antenna arrays (1-1, 1-2, . . .

  • Patent number: 8419577
Abstract: The invention relates to a propulsion system for all-wheel drive motor vehicles, having a device for propulsion distribution to the front and the rear differential which transmit the drive output to the wheels assigned at the time, and with a device for coupled, variable distribution of the propulsion forces in the transverse and longitudinal directions of the vehicle depending on the operating situation of the vehicle for influencing the driving behavior, especially for improving the driving agility and driving stability.
